I have psychosis and schitzophrenia. I’m Kat, I’m 19, I’ve suffered from psychotic depression and severe anxiety for 7 years. I’ve had a really rough upbringing, my father OD’d and disowned me when I was 15, I’ve had hallucinations and delusions since I was 3. Self harmed between ages 13 – 17. Suffered chronic joint pain since I was probably around 9. Have been on several medications. Dropped out of high school at 15. Been homeless. Been mentally and verbally abused by several people. I’m pretty sure I suffer of bipolar disorder and borderline disorder (I also think I got sexual hypoactive disorder but I don’t believe that’s a problem) because I got nearly all the symptoms for both of them:

In my world, I have to constantly remind myself what’s real and what isn’t, what’s a hallucination and what’s real, and what are rational thoughts and what aren’t. I’ll see a person as an entirely different things. For example, I know that person doesn’t actually look like a dragon, but I see them that way. Or I see a bunch of bees clouding the room, they aren’t actually there, it’s just sleep deprivation. But they seem so real, and no, it’s not “The voices in me head telling me that”. This is who I thought I was: a severely schizophrenic German boy, who was severely abused as a child, alongside his twin sister. He has a boyfriend, who also has a twin. He is in Foster care.

These words keep running through my mind. I wrote them and have read them over and over and listened to the recording over and over so maybe that is the reason that I can’t let go of the words. But I’m here, wondering about hullucinations. I’ve never mistaken a hallucination for reality (except when I think an event has occured, but it only has in a dream) but I think I’m seeing and hearing voices.
