More and more these days I’m overwhelmed by just an omnipresent sadness that coats everything. Even my stock answers to “how are you doing?” can’t even mask my intense sadness as people realize I really mean the opposite of what I’m saying. Most times during the day I’ll just find myself uncontrollably tearing up. I’m not upset or distraught, more just a resigned moroseness that in itself is defeatist and depressing.

Even my daughter comes and hugs me several times a day just to remind me how much she loves me because she can sense my complete lack of joy.

I have a bit of another social problem. People like us. Only we understand each other. we lie everytime someone asks us “how are you” and we say “fine”. O.K. Why is it so worse?

Our differences are wide our needs, similar, how are you going to get better?

Addiction changes you in a way that is twilight zone – Tobacco, once hooked, trips you into a smoke, no matter how many you avoided, I mean subconscious tricks— that’s why that smoke across the street looks five foot big pretty soon after you crush that next pack.

I’m supposed to be better, I’m typing here, guess I go do some some more computer stuff.

So my mum’s boyfriend committed suicide last year.
Before he killed himself, I was not talking to him. Not because he did something horrible, he had just told me that I wasn’t helping about my mother’s depression, that he had to do all by himself. I was also already depressed, and I just became so mad that he couldn’t see all what I was doing and all what I was going through, that I just didn’t talk to him for the whole week.

My dad just came in my room and pretty much told me I’m an asshole. Then he said that I just like to make everybody miserable. I don’t even know why he made a point to say that he loves me, when clearly he’s just miserable he has to be with me.

One person can make a difference. Think about it. Are the problems that you want to end by suicide that awful and permanent that nothing could alleviate them? Although you may not think so now, you will recover from your problem or problems and live out the rest of your life happily. There are no problems in this world that can be solved by suicide.

When you are thinking rationally, try to think of solutions to your troubles that are constructive, and that will help ease the hurt you’re going through. The person attempting suicide doesn’t truly want to die — instead they just want the pain to stop.
