Asshole of a Stepdad

My stepdad is an asshole. I saw my therapist today, and she said to try different things to distract myself from the voices and such because they’ve been bad lately, so I thought I’d attempt to watch TV for an hour or so with my mum and stepdad. It is something I regret even thinking of, and it has made everything so much more worse.

Glorification Vs. Trying to be positive

On Facebook, a few people on my friends list are sharing this picture. It has a recovering self harmer’s arm covered in scars saying something about them being ‘tiger stripes’ and not making you gross.

I suppose from an angle this could be glorification, however there is also a nasty little note tacked to the picture. Calling whoever does this a “sicko” and saying they “need help.”

I found this in an old notebook dated May 27th 2015 and I decided to type it out to keep it documented since I need to destroy the notebook before my family see it and hand it to my psychiatrist.

Lastnight was a dark dark time for me, I had everything almost ready to end my life. Then I received an email from someone on here. I feel my self getting worse and worse every day.

Depression

Depression is not something easily understood. It drains the life out of you. You just fall and can’t get up. It requires so much for you to stand up, specially by yourself. My story part one

So I’m from Australia and it’s all the same boring thing…

So here’s my story:

My mum started sleeping around with guys that were not her husband and my dad. I walked in on my mum in ‘action’ and it scarred me for life. It wasn’t easy having a bedroom right next door to hers.

My dad found out and left home, which was tragic for all of us. My mum continued being a slut. Still is.

Dad broke some news to us that he has been diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer.
