I’ve been grappling for weeks. This isn’t my first time down this path, I’m a pro at weathering them (but for an attempt in my early 20s when I didn’t know better). Â Right now I’m losing the battle. Today, I explained my non-intervention policy to one of the people I tentatively (for lack of a better term) call a friend. (Being more concerned with what they perceive as my interests than the interests themselves, I don’t think they can be termed “allies” precisely. So I use the word “friend” rather loosely, although I suppose it would be more accurate to say “one of those people I hang about constantly whom I happen to know”.) The pain

I feel pain every single day and it never seems to go away.
It is deep in my chest and hurts so much.

I try so hard to do the best I can in life but yet it’s never good enough. I can’t concentrate and I feel I’m sinking deeper and deeper.

It’s hard when you have no real good friends that can relate to you as well. So yes, I feel so alone in my own life.
