Random Sadness

More and more these days I’m overwhelmed by just an omnipresent sadness that coats everything. Even my stock answers to “how are you doing?” can’t even mask my intense sadness as people realize I really mean the opposite of what I’m saying. Most times during the day I’ll just find myself uncontrollably tearing up. I’m not upset or distraught, more just a resigned moroseness that in itself is defeatist and depressing.

Even my daughter comes and hugs me several times a day just to remind me how much she loves me because she can sense my complete lack of joy.

So my mum’s boyfriend committed suicide last year.
Before he killed himself, I was not talking to him. Not because he did something horrible, he had just told me that I wasn’t helping about my mother’s depression, that he had to do all by himself. I was also already depressed, and I just became so mad that he couldn’t see all what I was doing and all what I was going through, that I just didn’t talk to him for the whole week.

I have so many regrets in my life after I graduated college. I have many friends but I feel depressed at times. I am the youngest in the family and my parents are so over protective to me. Anyway…

This is my first “post,” though my story is entirely too convoluted and nebulous to really nail… so i’ll just say this:

I’m an early-middle-aged white male, who has had a profoundly depressing, worthless, lonely and unfulfilling life.

I don’t burn or cut or self-harm (unless cigarettes count), i don’t drink (at all) or do any drugs (haven’t even smoked any cannabis in over a year, now… though i will admit i’ll never truly stop loving it)…
