Its been ages since i last wrote on here.
+++ Nothing has changed… Will i be like this forever?

I am still suffering from depression, stopped counselling because it wasn’t helping; but i realized recently i just wasn’t patient enough and i still continue to self harm as a coping method to help me through the mood swings and hatred.

On the plus side… i passed my gcses and started college- which is why my dad says i have no need to cut or be sad. Clearly he doesn’t understand what depression is…

*sigh*

What gets everyone through each horrible night and past the demons?

I wish I was dead. I really do. Â I have been suffering from depression since my early teensand I am now 36. I cannot remember the last time I felt happy; felt sad; felt hopeful; felt ANYTHING.

I know how I could do it. I know I would be successful. Â What’s stopping me? Â I have a little boy. His father is violent towards me Â I cannot leave my baby with that monster.

It makes me angry when I hear people make preconcieved notions about things they don’t understand. I think there are a lot of negative stereotypes that come along with depression, and people that have it. You never know what a person is going through inside. Thats why I think its important not to judge other people, ecspecially if you don’t know them, or understand what they are going through. So I’ve been suffering from depression for a little over 3 years now. My Girlfriend of two years broke up with me well over a year ago. Sob story blah blah. Over a year a go, I went to a doctor just to talk to someone. I was just having one of those of days, that was all. I was never depressed. Anyway, she gave me these tablets that were citalopram without explaining what they were, how long I should take them for or when it would be reviewed. I always fight with my parents for stupid reasons like food, using computer, using the air conditioner etc. When I prove they are wrong, they yell and shout at me and say that I misbehave! I’m 34 and have been suffering from depression for at least 17 years and ADHD since I was a child. My mother didn’t like how I reacted to Ritalin as a child so the ADHD was left untreated until I was prescribed Adderall about 5 years ago.
