So it’s super late (or early) in the morning, and I know many people are probably not active on the site, and that’s okay. I can’t sleep, my head hurts, and I’m just laying in bed contemplating randomly until it came to mind a resolutions of sorts that I wrote on Halloween and had saved on Word. When I wrote this, I was in a state of despair, and the only consolation I found was through myself, or at least, through what I preached (and still have not put into practice).
I know that many of you guys will probably laugh or shrug it off (that’s if you even read the post), how dumb and simplistic my idealism can be, and I don’t ask anyone to comply or even apply my analogy of life itself onto them, since I do have my own personal belief systems. When I wrote this I thought I was HIV positive, because of two highly risky encounters I had in the beginning of this year with two people, one who I found out much later to have been “supposedly” exposed, and I was “displaying” the majority of the symptoms (and yes, I am a hypochondriac). I was planning on posting this on a support site for HIV positive individuals, and cried myself to sleep for three weeks (coincidentally I contracted the flu and a bunch of health issues attacked me at once) before I had the guts to test myself. I tested negative (to my surprise) however, and I saw it more than just a learning ground but as a second opportunity to life and to get things right. It was the embodiment of hope. I was writing from a stand-point of disease, and life’s cure for disease itself, maybe like a quantum healing of sorts, through the mind. Yet thinking about it, I’ve had it saved for so long (2 months) just sitting there, not even being put to practice, and after logging into this site a couple days ago from nearly a year and a half of hiatus, I realized that anxiety (generalized, health-related, etc), major depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia are all very real diseases, and have the ability to affect our quality of life potentially as much as a retrovirus and cancer could itself.
Well here it goes, even if just for laughter (if you do it’s totally okay, we all need to laugh more often):
Life’s cure:
This is written by me, at 2:25 a.m. on October 31 2011. I’m just a girl who believes in many things, and naming them all is unimportant. Most importantly, I believe in the lingering sense of humanity that still belongs to us all, and the unification of the spirit and the body which we were all given and we all share as product of being human. Everyone is different, and some of the bullet points on here are just of general value; however, some are universally equal to each of us in value and should be given importance. I hope to inspire, create, heal, relate, understand and change, and hopefully this draft is given a chance and thought, so all of us can not only witness a difference, but experience it.
- Laugh, as much as you can, whenever you can. Laughter is a universal antidote.
- Let go of the concept of “stress†– stress is beneficial in times of danger, it is the trigger from which your body can determine whether or not to confront a situation. In the process, the body goes through various physiological changes to accommodate the fight or flight response. This in turn causes the body to function alternatively in the case of injury. This is the only time you should be experiencing “stress†(mainly anxiety). Any other notion you may have of stress, or any of the feelings of anguish, depression or anxiety you must dispel immediately, either with meditation, distraction, sleep, teas or any other natural methods. Sometimes our feelings of “stress†are really the discontent cries of our inner selves. Yet change is inevitable in this world, and adaptation should be something we acquire lightly and with ease. No one is perfect and you are NOT expected to be.
- Have a toxic free diet and lifestyle – eat healthy and appropriately according to your body type and eliminate all foods NON organic; also consume less meats and all soft drinks, strictly tea and water (occasionally juice, wine and even milk). Eliminate the use of technology and spend the majority of your time outdoors. Be careful with plastics and educate yourself of their harms and dangers. Intake supplements accordingly, as well as enzymes.
- Develop a skin care regimen and be aware of your hygiene. Skin care regimen should be organic, simple, and according to your skin type. Bathe/shower everyday, try not to use synthetic soaps that clog the pores. The skin is the largest organ of the body and should not be neglected when concerning your health. Be good to the inside and the outside.
- Receive frequent massages for the aid of aches, management of stress, incrementing muscle tone and circulation. Never deny the power of touch.
- Have an emotionally and physically comfortable and satisfying sex life.
- Replace aspirins with massages and water.
- Be kind and respectful to yourself and those around you. Never be critical. Everyone suffers similar insecurities. Everyone has similar wants and the same needs. We are all an extension of each other and other’s actions may be a pleasant or not so pleasant reflection of ours.
- Use crystals and stones to help energize you and align your chakra plexuses. Remember to cleanse stones at least once a week. Energy should be recycled and consistently purified.
- Try to take minimum to no synthetic chemical medicines, preferably none at all. Remember the power on the Earth, everything we need comes from the ground, or an extension of it.
- Respect the Earth. It’s where you live and where your food comes from.
- Exercise every other day. Nap or rest several times a day, for 20 to 30 minutes, especially 120 minutes after concentrating on a specific project.
- Live in the present. Always.
- Have satisfying, genuine, and loving social relationships. Quality over quantity always.
- Do periodic body cleanses; everything is made up of energy, and your body is no exclusion. Energy must always be purified and recycled in order to work effectively and exhibit it’s utmost potential.
- Forgive.
- Allow your body to coincide with its natural Circadian System.
- Work and be responsible with your duties. The body and spirit thrive when it feels useful.
- Develop your spirituality as the individual you are.
- Help. Help those in need, help those want it, and those who don’t. The reason why people help is simple: because we all need to feel concerned for and cared about. Helping is a simple and intuitive human trait. It allows us to share and empower others with knowledge of our own and vice versa. It’s a selfless way of making the world go round. Helping makes everyone involved feel wanted, esteemed and loved.
- Never mind fear. Fear is a Lie.
- Love. Love is the life force energy. Giving always involves Receiving.
- Remember that life is about experience and purpose. If you accept life’s teachings as a guide to your inner purpose, you will not only find it, but be more content. Purpose is not exclusive to a certain career path or lifestyle of choice, but entails every bit of your being, and it means much more than just a “pathâ€. Purpose is when you know why you’re here, and understand the identity of your spirit. Purpose, I believe, is like Enlightenment.
- Listen to your heart, and let your intuition guide you.
- Have Faith, always, and never stop believing.
Anyone can break free of the cyclic karma. Only if you are ready. And anyone can be. It’s completely up to you.
Hope it’s not that bad or childish. I never remembered being so scared about anything in my life the days I was waiting for the response. I had gone through childhood cancer (a benign localized neuroblastoma in my mediastinum) which was caught in time and still low risk, and I guess I never put it much thought since I was so young, until something like this happened that made me realize how fragile human life could really be. Now I’ve been hypochondriac from everything under the sun, including the recurrence of cancer and have had various tests that have all (thankfully) turned out negative. Hopefully, maybe if only for the New Year, could I follow my advice, the one I was willing to take if I were indeed positive. We don’t know what we have until it’s lost. Maybe that was my personal wake up call.

I like a good deal of this…
It IS idealistic–but there is no fault in that.
Indeed, it is far better to dream of a better life than to wallow in a worse one…
It’s not childish at all. 🙂
I may not agree with everything that you posted, but bravo. That is well written, and I am more impressed that you have, what seems to be, a step by step process in how anyone, no matter religion/race/whatever could find some sort of inner peace/solitude.
Tip of my hat, to you.
Have a toxic free diet and lifestyle. I all so tip my hat.
Well, I already do a few of the bullet points on your list (too lazy to type them out). So that’s a start, right? haha
ahh i’m kind a embarrassed i shared this -__- proves to show i’m capable of anything at 4 in the morning. Well, it’s better out than in right?
Don’t be embarrassed. I didn’t laugh at any of it. Yep, always better out than in.
A very good read, thanks. Some really lovely things; hard to carry around in a sunk heart.
Much respect to you for posting that.
I am very sure it will prove a help and a lifeline to many people.
Wonderful thing to share.
