Confused Yet Again.

Why do people set dates like this lol. Someone truly suicidal would just want to die. You realize it’s just a defense mechanism right? So that way for the next month, whenever you’re stressed out or sad, you’ll be able to tell yourself “just make it til the 29th, then I’ll be free from this”. And then that day will come and go and we’ll all still be here because none of us really want to die. If you were suicidal you wouldn’t want to hang around another month. So rather than be dramatic about it why not just accept you’re going to make an effort to find something to be happy about, to find a reason to keep going, and don’t phrase it as “I’m going to kill myself at the end of May”. Besides, who is this “him” you make reference to? A boyfriend? A relative? Some of us have NOONE so it sounds to me like you already have a reason to keep going if you know there is a “him” who cares about you.
