i chewed up a tiny little bit of my finger with my table saw. Â turns out they weren’t kidding when they said it was dangerous. Â it’s strange having some real discomfort. Â it’s a weird break from all this imaginary stuff.
nope. purely stupidity. it’s really not very bad at all, no bone damage or anything. just some chewing up of the fleshy bits on two fingers on the left hand.
the therapist says when i’m feeling glum that i need to do stuff i think i might like. most of my hobbies involve power tools. the power tools have warnings on the side saying to stay away from them when you’re feeling distracted. it’s a pesky contradiction.
i asked the doc about lamotrigine after you mentioned it. i’ve been taking it for about a week now. thanks for suggesting something new to try.
at the hospital they super glued the cut on the lesser of the two injured fingers. they even put fancy medical grade super glue in our military first aid kits.
as a little bit of extra fun, part of the dressing is stuck to my finger and i can’t get it off. i got the cut on saturday. the doc said to leave it covered for two days before changing the dressing. by the time monday came the dressing was stuck. i was hoping it would get easier to remove with a few more days. that was very wrong. now it’s really stuck. i kind of like the idea of having a finger with permanently embedded plastic mesh. but i also kind of like the idea of a finger that doesn’t suck too much.

how are you today?
Weird, I cut a deep gash on the tip of my left index finger by accident today. It wouldn’t stop bleeding so I had to superglue it shut.

@deimos: have you tried super glue on cuts before? it seems like a really great idea
Good luck with lamotrigine it’s working for me 80% of the time:-)
