Think about it.  Is the majority of “our” problem simple insecurity?  If we werent so damn worried about:
  our looks
 IF people love us
what did they mean by ____
Do you think simple insecurity is our biggest hurdle?   Just wondering.

I guess it depends on the person.
For some people, yes, maybe that’s the biggest hurdle, and I guess we’d all like to feel a secure sense of self.
For others, maybe something else is dominant. E.g. loneliness, poverty, mental problems, abuse, addiction or whatever.
as muspelhem said, it depends on the person. Personally, I do not see it as my biggest hurdle, but I know others that do.
For myself I could say it’s my biggest hurdle, and perhaps the biggest hurdle for anyone who comes here that needs someone else to lift their spirit because they unable to do it their self. If you take two people both in similar positions with appearance, relationships, jobs, lifestyle etc and one is depress because of insecurity, than question is what is making them(us) so insecure, was we born to be like this, did our upbringing create or just add on to something that was created making us weaker? I also think other factors play to this.. being more emotional, caring, and most of all not feeling accepted as for what we are and our flaws, or believed to be flaws.
