Last night I asked for help from a friend. I told her my situation. All she said was “Isaiah, please go to the councilors at school. Nobody should treat you like that okay?” I said “I tried but they are always to busy to talk to me She said I was lying. But I wasn’t. Now she wants to take me up there since they will listen to her. Watch. She was getting so mad at me. She said she was always here for me. But then she said I was just asking for attention. I am so confused. This is only a little bit of what she said. What does this mean? Is she truly here for me? Or is she lying to me? And does this mean she is being a good friend? Someone tell me please?

Friends or anyone, if they do something that makes you feel bad or doesn’t help…don’t take it on. People make it about them & it’s about what is best for you. Most people aren’t aware how to best support people who are having real life crisis. Honour your feelings & if someone doesn’t believe you, that’s their problem…Good luck.
Your friend doesn’t sound so nice but she is trying to help at least… Maybe she just really doesn’t know what to do…
Or, you could just ask her all these questions now.
She wants to go with you. Only a good friend will do that. Did you say you didn’t want that?
Maybe that will explain she said that about you seeking attention because she would have felt like you turned her help down.
Maybe it’s not like that, I don’t know the conversation.
You should ask her.
