why do we think happiness exist if it never lasts. why do we believe in love if it only ends in heartbreak. why do we live if there is nothing to live for. why do we cry if no one hears us and the ones who do hear us don’t want to help.
I think it’s because no matter how much crap we go through, we always want to believe that there will always be at least one person who cares about us. Sometimes when emotions get bottled up, it sort of hurts to see others so happy when you yourself are hurting.
To be honest, I live only to help others. I don’t go out of my way to do so, but when the opportunity appears, I take it. One day I just woke up and realized that I can contribute to this cold and lonely world by provided a temporary fire to warm those who got lost or just someplace to rest and recover.
To survive and reproduce are biological instincts. Society has clouded this fact with concepts and expectations that exist only in our minds because of the commercials put forth to “inspire” you to buy their products. Even movies and songs are commercials. What do they want you to buy? Their movies and songs. For ten dollars, give or take, you can live vicariously through the eyes of a secret agent, or professional ball player, or cop, fireman, diva, jewelry thief, dancer etc. It’s much easier than going out and actually doing the “job” of the one in the movie…it’s too bad the gratification from it, only lasts for the 90 minutes that you’re in the theater.Let’s face it, most of the public just regurgitates what they’ve been told to say and prefers living vicariously through others rather than taking action themselves. Those of us who DO think for ourselves, usually find that the world is callous and cruel. The point I’m trying to make, is that you have to make your own love and expectations of love as well. Along with every other experience that you might have. Taking the “happily ever after” love that Hollywood sells, will just leave you searching forever and falling for any commercial that claims to provide it.To see just how pathetic the masses are, please watch:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgDx5g9ql1ghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=QcmvbXgmdsU&feature=endscreenhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSsPfbup0ac&feature=relatedFind your own happiness and never accept another’s indoctrinated “happiness” as a reason to accept it as your own.
Because… Because what else can I do? My grades aren’t that great, I don’t do drugs, drink, or party; I’m not interested in the things that everybody around me is, and being isolated as a young child has left me… scared, in a way.
Forgive me for mentioning something religious, but: If Jesus could handle all the pain and torment(to the point of sweating blood) only to die on his cross with the final words ‘Forgive them’, is it too much to ask for me to help take on the burden of others? To lighten their load and give them a brief respite and hopefully gather up the energy to keep moving.
I make their happiness mine, because I am unable to be happy with everything I’ve gone through and the lonliness. The Help I give is a Mask. To me, what’s a little silence and pain for the happiness of everybody else? Isn’t that a worthwhile sacrifice?
I understand that’s very inspiring maybe I should do the same help others but something tells me that watching others become happy might hurt me more 🙁
