Your mom should have never physically abused you. However, try to remember that she’s human and I guess she just lost control. From now on when you guys are having a disagreement and it seems like it is going to escalate, YOU be the adult and tell her you want to wait a little while before talking to her so you can both calm down. I’m so sorry this happened but take care of yourself….and if something like this happens again you need to reach out to someone and let them know you have a parent being abusive.
“Or just do what I do and hide a knife under your pillow.” How I would love to say that, but seriously, don’t be like me. Be the adult, but not so much of an adult that you piss her off even more(like I would). And talk to your school counselor(if you’re in school). Part of their job is to make sure students are safe at school AND at home. Or, if your school has a Wellness Center like mine does that just happens to have a totally awesome and open-minded counselor there, then you should go there!!! And if you’re not in school, get a cat or three. They solve all the world’s problems, plus they may even help your mom from getting violent like that. Believe me, must you. Therapeutic and fuzzy, cats are. lol trying to be Yoda. But seriously follow that advice.
