I’m making another attempt at life…

When you sit in the mountains listen to the wind
as it blows through the trees and what it has to say
feel the freshness on your face and close your eyes
Like a charge to a battery soak it in and refresh, peace
If you see an eagle watch it soar, effortlessly
floating on the wind that blows through the air
Watching from above the things that happen below
If you see a gopher scampering about
consider that he doesn’t soar but yet
he has his place too in the wild in his coming and going
Pick up a pine cone and smell the scent of pine
how it smells so good and know that in all
we are connected to the wind, the eagle and the trees
We belong here just as they do in His infinitie wisdom
We were put to walk along side those in nature as well
as the rest of us in mankind finding rest in His creation
You have to look up to see the eagle and the sky
Look up to ponder why, the author of life put us here
How much more He loves us than the flowers and the trees
So many lessons can be learned if only we stop to see
stop to smell and feel alive with what He has created.
Then ask Him what will you have me do? I am here.
