I idolize Alice Paul and Lucy Burns and the women who contributed to the suffragist movement from 1848 to 1920, they were the most kickass women in the history of the US. Advocating for women’s rights in the US no matter what. Picketing the fucking white house while we were at war, even insulting the President to get attention, hell yes! These women fought for self evident human rights and led a movement that empowered women whom had been oppressed for so long throughout history. These women faced jail, torture, force feeding, death threats from misogynistic men and narrow minded women (Yes, there were actually women who protested AGAINST the suffragist movement, how fucking stupid can some people be?) and still they advocated and protested until they were finally heard and justice was served. I wish I could be as tough, brave and noble as those women were, as resilient and honest and as dedicated to doing what is right, no matter what the personal cost. Of course I idolize these people, their names should be well known. America glorifies the wrong people, those women are heroes and everyone should know their names.
Nobody. Never in my life have I idolized, looked up to, or respected anyone. If I’m forced to provide an answer, I’d say someone fictional like Superman or anyone else who can fly.
I don’t idolise people but there are many people that I respect.
Somebody mentioned Stephen Hawking. He sets a good example for suicidal people that want to live. He’s pretty smart too.
I respect Madonna of all people and no one would ever understand why. I think she’s a good woman that makes a difference in the lives of people that need it the most.
I’ve always wanted to be more like Henry Cecil. Unless you’ve seen him, you wouldn’t understand why either. He was very thoughtful, bright and kind.
I don’t know, maybe moderators on suicide sites, Ned Flanders or Wayne Rooney. There are just too many worthy of my devotion.
As far as people I want to be…My first choice would be Terrance Tao …IQ is between 230-250… nuff said…and…..Brad Pitt….for no reason other than he’s banging Angelina Jolie…nuff said…… If I could look like anybody I wanted to I would say Brad Pitt again or Tom Cruise.
Stendarr I am impressed with your answer very thorough and thoughtful. Like you embargo I idolize anyone fictional that flies. But my “idol” is elphaba from “wicked”…to me she is perfect, she was born different than everybody else (like me) and is treated so badly, especially by her own dad, and she decides to go underground as a revolutionary for animal rights. Even though everybody brands her as “wicked” even though she really isn’t.
Henry Clay. One of the warhawks during the jefferson presidency during the time of the war of 1812 and also a party involved in tecorrupt bargain which allowed adams win the presidency. Also favored the american system and a national bank. He helped create tye missouri compromise of 1820 he also opposed manifest destiny. Even Lincoln admired clay…..oh if clay had won a presidential election…the wonders he would have done..

I wish I had a mind similar to those of Stephen Hawking, and Douglas Adams. With the two in one, I’d be unstoppable.
I idolize Baal.
My cat.
