Not really. If you get a handle on their way of thinking they are easier to understand. People do irrational things all the time, but if you study personalities, then you might be able to explain why they act a certain way.
Did you want to elaborate more on your issues? Perhaps we might be able to assist somewhat by analyzing the situation…
Understanding them and knowing what to typically expect (e.g. deception, typically irrational and predictably unpredictable behavior), doesn’t make them any less strange.
I suppose it depends on your interpretation of both people, and the meaning of the word “strange.”
“Is it not nice to brush our teeth, read, write, and acquire new knowledge?”
You might be surprised, or perhaps find it “strange,” that not everyone enjoys those things. Some people actively avoid them, even insist others do as well.
People are strange. But that doesn’t mean we’re necessarily surprised by anything within the spectrum of variance of typical human shenanigans.
Strange, not necessarily intriguing or mysterious. Just… weird.
And you could also say strange, as in both foreign and familiar. Most people are indeed foreign, to me, since i have not met even 1% of the currently living humans… but i obviously know what a human is, and often have a good idea about how to form reasonable expectations of them.
Strange is a nice word for humans considering so many are arrogant self centred SOBs who dont give a damn about caring for any other human being on the damn planet
People are strange when you’re a stranger
Faces look ugly when you’re alone
Women seem wicked when you’re unwanted
Streets are uneven when you’re down
When you’re strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you’re strange
No one remembers your name
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
When you’re strange
People are strange when you’re a stranger
Faces look ugly when you’re alone
Women seem wicked when you’re unwanted

No one remembers your name

@Stendarr The only reasonable conclusion I can come up with is that you must have been rejected by a Canadian and it stung so much it soured your opinion of the country in general. Well all I can say is that that guy (or girl) didn’t know what they were missing. I do hope you can put this unfortunate experience behind you and move forward knowing that most Canadians are peaceable homebodies who enjoy chilling at lakes in the summertime and going to ski resorts in winter. There is really nothing to be afraid of. We don’t all turn into wolves or moose or bunnies under the moonlight; I don’t know where you got that outrageous idea. We’re actually not that bad, I promise.
@Dawg – That’s a win for you! I love that song too.
@Stendarr I’ve been to your state before (if I recall correctly what it is). You should certainly take a trip north, we’d love to have you. If I’m still in the province, I’ll take you on a tour around Toronto, if you should end up in that area. Quebec is cool, too, particularly Montreal.
There are actually a lot of Jamaicans in T.O., so you won’t be too disappointed.
@Pain Hey! I wasn’t responsible for that. I support free-for-all artistry, however, so I’ve never been against the kid, even if I don’t support his taste in… er. Autotune. But, you know, he can do whatever he wants; it’s not going to effect me any. 😛
@persephone …I know I know I was just kidding but I am just appalled at some of the comments on other music on YT where someone will come along and proclaim him to be the greatest musician of all time….I think they are tone deaf but eh who knows lol
There were singers/bands in the past whom everyone loved for awhile and then they faded into oblivion. Meh. You don’t have to worry about the folks with the comments; if they say that you already know they have a shit taste in music and their opinion isn’t worth hearing (no offense). If somebody enjoys some of the Beebs music as well as other good stuff, I won’t say anything against them, though. Everybody has guilty pleasures.
Canada is just flat out awesome … unfortunately the showstopper is the cold. … if it weren’t so damn cold i’d have been a canadian at least a decade ago. I highly recommend a visit if possible.

That statement is like the winning hand in a poker game..I really have nothing that can match that at the moment.
Are you having issues with your acquaintances again?
Tell me about it..
I’m trying to forget someone i almost never met..
a very strange creature indeed
only she’s stuck in my head.
Her peculiarities were charming.
Luck to you.

What’s strange to you may not be so strange to someone else.
We’re all Humans here. What’s so strange about being human? Is it not nice to brush our teeth, read, write, and acquire new knowledge?

You know what are even stranger than humans? Canadians.

@persephone: SB’s anti-canadianism clearly stems from the fact that Canadians simply aren’t Jamaican enough.
@Persephone
Nah, lol, I actually really admire Canada, I’m a reasonable driving distant from the border to Quebec, I’d really love to visit it someday.
I was under the impression that Canada was inhabited by flying yetis, my bad, it’s all the propaganda here in the US!
@CN
You know me well
The few Canadians I’ve known are cool….however they are responsible for the crime of justin beibers music lol….

You’ve definitely got to give me a tour around Canada someday 😀
Joni Mitchell makes up for any infamous Canadian artist, imo

great white dawg
@Stendarr Sounds like a plan of action 😀
@Dawg Hehe, it’s good that you can put a recommendation out there. See everyone, I’m not just biased.
