Indeed you have. That’s the bad news. The good news is that, because you have made it, you can also change your mind about yourself and your surroundings and be free.

In order to create a prison that isolates you from others and controls you, so that you are a passive, suffering being in a heartless cruelty, you must, in fact, be powerful indeed. The misuse of your power has left you in a state so destitute from emotional intimacy that it leaves little but the wish to die. Yet this logic has a flaw.

The belief in separation from others, from emotion, from Love and God came first. In that instant the devastation was so great that it can hardly be exaggerated. You came to believe that Truth, Which is the Source of everything, has somehow excluded you, all the while blaming you for it. This is commonly known as the Fall from the Garden. Not knowing what it was or how it happened, you believe that you have committed the Original Sin.

Having been excluded from Paradise, where else would you be except prison. Locked out, awaiting only your turn to die in your guilt. It is indeed a heavy burden.

The deconstruction of this sorry state requires only the simplest of acts to be undone. Forgiveness is the recognition that whatever you have done in the past can not be the cause of where you are now. Though you have tried to make it so, it is not so. Yes, you have brought the past with you and suffered for it. But at any moment you can choose to let the present shine its Light on you in this present Holy Instant, without regard to the past at all. One Holy Instant is enough to serve as a milestone in the transformation of your life.

Let it be now and save yourself years of unnecessary and unproductive struggle, pain, and futility.
