Crying is cathartic. My sister and I use to get together, listen to music and have a good sad session of crying late into the night! So, which songs or movies turn you into a weeping willow?
But i hate crying. I haven’t /really/ cried in long enough that i don’t remember when the last time was. There’s no use being that worked up over something you can’t change, and if it’s something you Can change, then you should spend that energy changing it, instead of crying and making it take longer. From my own experiences, crying only happens when it’s something you can’t change.
Even the guitar cries in November Rain! And crying generally does happen from a feeling of helplessness but it can have many causes! And it is a great purging. I enjoy feeling emotions to their fullest. F%#k repression. Cliche alert: sometimes you need to feel bad to feel good; you need to travel the valleys to get to the peaks; you need to have a frown before it can be turned upside down….ok I think Im out. 🙂

I’ll start with an obvious one. “Dont Cry” by Guns n Roses. Stupid reverse psychology already has you crying!
Speaking of G’n’R: November Rain is a rough one.

People who are dead inside have no tears.
The movies Glory and The Patriot
“Tangerine” and “That’s the Way” – songs by Led Zeppelin
“Always” is a movie that gets me misty.
