so, I don’t know if these things are accurate or not but I’ve been taking a bunch of online depression tests and at different times of day and at different moods just to see if my results change. I’ve done my own research about depression. It’s all pretty much telling my I have Major Depressive Disorder. I can’t believe it. Or I don’t want to. Either was I’m still stuck with all the stigma about depression in my head. I don’t want another illness to deal with. I don’t want to be fucking crazy anymore. Can’t it be something else? Can’t it be fixed with a simple diet plan or some medicine or some meditating? I hear that shit never works though. I don’t want to admit to it anyways. Will it go away if I ignore it?

Drinking helps
(Bad advice.)
I wish I could tell you that it would go away. Hopefully it will for you.
I don’t drink much. I smoke weed but I can’t really even do that anymore because I’ve been getting my blood drawn every time I go to the doctor. They also check my urine too.
Cannabis criminalization is a crime against humanity. Everyone involved in making laws against it, and perpetuating those laws, and enforcing those laws, should be summarily executed.
I smoke too. I think it helps a little bit. It’s just an escape, just like a movie could be.
Damn doctors. You could try exercising. Adrenaline will get your mind off depressive thoughts for a while.
Weed is a bit better than a movie, for alleviating stress and anxiety, and lots of different types of non-acute pain. Movies don’t really do anything to alleviate real symptoms.
Executed, hey? Huh. I watched Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle the other night. Good show. Weed is now legal in Colorado, we’ll all have to take a visit.
Well if it’s like a super funny captivating movie or whatever it can be pretty fun, but not really as good as getting super baked.
Yes, executed. All of them. But they should first be given a choice to cease and desist, in exchange for a full pardon for their crimes against humanity. Any who refuse, should be downed on the spot.
Sure, the state law says it’s legal… but that state is also bound by federal U.S. law, which disagrees. At this point, they’re doing something highly questionable, and simply choosing to avoid federally enforcing it… which sends the message that what is law, doesn’t really matter, but rather, the “officials” are allowed to simply circumvent established law, at will… which is an incredibly bad message. It also means that they could just simply decide to enforce anything, even if it’s not law. Seldom is any slope more slippery. I’m glad it’s not being enforced, but what it means for the system itself, is indeed dire. Nothing is stopping them from simply deciding later, in the near future, that they now feel like enforcing it again… which is picking and choosing which laws to enforce, for personal reasons, as well as overriding the state’s (and thus, its people’s) rights.
But i totally need to move to colorado… or washington… but i have no idea how to make enough money to do that. Or rather, i have ideas, but not the means to successfully implement them.
@OP:
Everything “goes away” if you ignore it long enough. Or even if you don’t ignore it. All this ends, sooner or later.
Clevername, I’m giving you a placement amongst my advisors when I’m the President of the Galaxy or whatever, OK? If I don’t know what to do with any irritating group of people, I’ll go to you for counsel.
Yeah, I noticed that. They call it an ‘experiment.’ Well, it’s an experiment that is heavily lining the pockets of all involved, so why would they want to overturn this decision? Best to get the feds on board and call it a day.
@per
or move to uruguay (re:weed)
I don’t know anything about Uruguay, but marijuana is still legal in Amsterdam, right? Dutch people are hawt. Let’s go party in Amsterdam. (I visited once a few decades ago.)
Cool.
They have to be very careful about “overturning” things people actually legitimately vote for. Look at both Dubya “elections.” It was so obviously rigged that they had a hard time quelling the unrest, and people still talk about it, making diebold jokes, and being cynical about voting, because it’s like they just assign someone the position, and then compose a bunch of theater, to make it seem like anyone had a choice in the matter.
They would want to overturn it for the purpose of “pulling rank,” except that would upset the people, causing unrest and distrust (even more), and a higher scrutiny… which makes it harder for them to get away with things.
They would Not want to overturn it, to avoid causing undue unrest, to allow the people to feel a false sense of security, and to allow the growers to happily do the work, make the money, and pay the taxes on all the business they’ll do… but if at any time, for any reason, the gov’t decides they don’t like something, or that the people are too happy, or too unruly, or making too much profit… then by leaving it federally illegal, they can simply just choose to enforce it spontaneously, and go in and “justifiably” raid everyone, using any force necessary “to protect their agents,” and dominate the entire thing.
It should never have been made illegal in the first place, and was only done so based on perjury, lies, false testimony, bribery, and fabricated “evidence.” The entire case was bullshit, and it’s quite obvious if you just look at the records… and yet, the Supreme Court does not allow anyone to bring a case against that incorrect and unjustified “established precedent.” As if to say that just because they fucked up, they’re standing their ground, but can’t allow anyone to expose how unreliable and fallible the justice system actually is… even though that’s exactly what clinging to those unjust laws, and preventing them from being dismantled, actually does; it shows the “justice” system is actually extremely flawed, and often unjust. They cling to this completely unfair and illegitimate law, just to save face. And they have ruined millions of lives, and caused immeasurable torment, to innumerable people… and for the most ridiculous and unjust of possible reasons. This is why i think they should all just be executed. They’ve had almost a century to admit and correct their mistake, but because of the most absurd idiocy imaginable, they won’t. And people suffer accordingly.
That’s what I was thinking too – if they leave it illegal they could decide to change their minds and crack down with brute force. So finicky. I agree though – I don’t understand all the laws against it. They’re going to make ‘medical marijuana’ legal in New York state now… I wonder how this is going to change the name of the game on the East Coast. (It’s actually legal under certain medical licenses where I am, too, apparently, although the laws aren’t quite clear-cut.)
It makes life bearable i have the odd one
getting brownies in couple days. fuck drug tests I don’t give a fuck anymore. ya’ll are funny as hell <3
In my experience it will go away if you ignore, and constantly find things to distract yourself, over work yourself, clean the house constantly, work two jobs, get addicted to drugs, write a book that makes no sense at all, paint your pets pink, drive around all day looking for hemlock. ffs
mbaerr ,
change in the way you think is the only way to change depression. we are creatures of habit, if you can’t change the way you think then you remain the same. you are what you think. and there isn’t and easy answer to change that’s like brain washing, I’d rather stay the way I am then forget by being be brain washed.,and live a lie. it would be like having a lobotomy 🙂 I’m depressed for real reasons if you can come to grips with those reasons then perhaps you can lesson the depression.
