It depends on what’s causing the pain. Are you suffering from arthritis, back pain, broken bones, muscle aches and pains, post surgery pain, or have you recently had a baby?
having a baby would be a medical first (although probably not all that far in the future), since i’m male
i’m talking about psychic pain…i can’t afford (for work reasons) to get stoned to the point where i can’t function.., and my limited experience with psychotropics (legal ones) are that they’re not all that effective (albeit my experience is limited)
Psychic pain? Hmm. That’s a tough one. See a psychic doctor? Patients of Dr. Obodo, an online voodoo practitioner, have written positive reviews attesting to his regenerative powers.
I think male seahorses can get pregnant, although I doubt that any seahorses visit this site and I’m not aware of any that experience psychic pain, either.
Good luck, duderino.
which opiates would you recommend where 1) i could still somewhat function and 2) i wouldn’t have to delve into social nether worlds which i have no desire to navigate
C = Cannabis, legal… depending where u live. But if u need to have a sharp mind… . In my own experience Venlafaxine AKA Effexor helped me… .But its clearly one of the worst ADs there is. It has strong sideeffect and a the withdrawal is really bad. I suggest a site called erowid.org. Stories of experiences from a wast collection of substances.
Paxil works best for severe depression, from what I’ve read about it. Also, second-hand experiences seem to indicate the same. If you have anxiety, and want to try da ganja mon, den be looking for a strain rich in CBD, mon.
i’ve tried various antidepressants, but never for too long, since they interfere with ejaculation
thanks for the erowid.org site…i currently take sedatives (the standard xazapams), but they’re just kind of band aids
i need something to disabuse me of my negative thinking (classic depressive symptom), which prohibits me from having any kind of success — ie i’m convinced everything will end in failure, which inevitably creates anxiety, which inevitably creates behavior that ends in failure… presto! your perfect self-fulfilling prophecy
i also probably suffer from some type of anxiety, as well as OCD (this is for sure in my case), and possibly ADHD (without the hyperactivity component)
from my understanding, some/all of these have genetic components, and are chemically related to depression…my grandfather had pretty severe OCD, although it very well may have been triggered by the loss of one of his young children
isabella rossellini (imho, the most beautiful woman in the world back in the day, recently did a whole series of docu films on the ‘strange’ sex practices of various life forms
@duderino; Right on, I like Isabella Rossellini. I only brought up the sea horse thing because you said that as a male it would be impossible for you to get pregnant.
You have not proven that you are not a sea horse. 🙂
I totally recommend krokodil. Look it up – it’s really popular in Russia.
But in re: antidepressants and the like – I still recommend Paxil, if you’ve not already tried that one. I’ve seen some good stuff from it, and a lot of the literature out there says it works wonders on severe depression. It’s theoretically one of the most potent SSRI’s on the market, but for most people it shows weak to no effect on depression, unless it’s severe depression, which is where it shines. It’s mostly prescribed for its lasting anxiolytic effects.
Also, and this is a stretch in your case (I presume), mixed amphetamine salts are off-label prescribed for severe depression, and they do work wonders at making things seem less negative, as well as giving you a good deal of motivation to make positive life changes. But amphetamines have a high abuse potential, and might not work well for non-ADHD people. I swear by the stuff, but I also have a ridiculous case of ADHD.
wrt to krokodil i’m sure there are less painful ways to turn into a lizard…by mixed amphetamine salts i assume you mean adderall — something i’ve been thinking about for a while…all i need is to find a doc willing to prescribe
@c4
i’m not a sea horse, but it would be interesting being one for a while
you said “legal or otherwise,” so, legalities notwithstanding, cannabis is “the best,” due to its relatively mild nature, and ease of dose control. You can even use a vaporizer and eliminate all that nasty particulate ash (the byproduct of combustion), which leaves you with something relatively mild, easily controlled, and virtually harmless… not to mention rather enjoyable. A responsible degree of moderation will ensure you’re never “too stoned” to function.
As an acquaintance from long ago, once said: “three hits makes the world a better place…”
However, it’s illegal in almost all developed regions. Figures, right?
@duderino: Adderall or preferably dexedrine, which is the dextro isomer of the amphetamine molecule separated from the levo one, which is the annoying one. L-amp is probably the most irritating psychiatric med ever conceived. Mixed salts are easier to get than single salt meds, though. Adderall is the big one. Depending on where you live, it might be easy to snag a script for it, but some states have asshat regulations about it, and consider it a narcotic (which it’s not).

Strong antidepressants might work. Also… antipsychotics, sedatives, painkillers, opiates and C. indica.

as down as i am, your responses make me laugh…psychic pain=psychological pain=emotional suffering (different phrases, same shit)
can’t seahorses change their sex depending on the ratio of males:females at any given time ?

Hopefully this isn’t too lewd, it features a picture of seahorses mating and explains the process of how they breed.
nothing’s lewd except for human cruelty
Well, it’s basically fish porn. I don’t want to corrupt the youth here with disturbing images of sea life mating.
