You texted me first today. You initiated the conversation. You apologised to me. Honestly speaking I have no idea what you’re apologising for. And I don’t know how I should reply your text. I guess I’m too used to not talking to you.
That’s why I’m apologizing. Because we don’t talk enough. How are you doing these days? It’s been forever since we talked. Mainly because we’ve never talked before and I just assumed the role of the person who texted you. lol (I’m silly)
If somebody disappears for a long period of time without explanation, say a few months or something (or longer), it means they probably don’t really care anyway. Just ignore them. They must be bored and are looking for attention/an ego boost, and expect you’ll give that to them. Show them you’re stronger minded than that. (Especially if they made your life difficult before they disappeared.)
I completely agree. I had someone I assumed was a friend. We talked frequently and everything. Well I started going through a really hard time, lost a family member and I was personally dealing with a lot, I thought I could depend on her to be there for me as I was for her. I was wrong. We do not talk anymore, and I don’t have the slightest idea why. Maybe she thought I was depressing and bringing her down?
Regardless I never got an answer why, and we no longer talk after being ”friends” for 3 years. I didn’t press the matter. I changed her number to ”do not answer” because I know there will come a day she’ll call or text and want me to be there. And I’ll give her the same courtesy.
It never ends well. Trust me on this. If someone disappears long enough for you to *really* forget about them, then do that and no longer let them be your concern.
Either that, or let them back into your life for that short period of time and watch them fuck up whatever shred of sanity you once had.
