Dude, I read every article everyday. Have for like 8 years. I tried to write in their workshop. Kinda ass holes… my personal fav is professor Scott Bug
Totally replied to the wrong area. Hey Whiskers, go look at that cracked article link. It is frigging hilarious. You need some hilarity tonight. If I can laugh tonight, and my son tried to shank someone with a home made shiv at school, you can laugh too.
I’m starting to feel a heck of a lot better. I had this grief loop going in my mind. I was mourning all the things I can’t do but forgot to list all the things I can do. All the simple things I am typically thankful for daily.
Like the fact the bulbs I planted in the winter are now blooming, or that I have a home I own and a good job with a boss that completely understands what a trainwreck my life is and how it isn’t my fault, that shit just happens, despite me planning for worse case scenarios. I will add that this incident, I was planning for it. I knew it would happen, it was just a matter for time when, who and how badly the events would play out. Thats the things about a worst case scenario, anything short of the worst is a win.
Having a boss who understands– that’s a big blessing.
I’m not able to work these days, but there were a few years there when I tried, and I had a terrible boss who understood nothing about my limitations and issues.
It was a miserable place to be.
So I’m glad you have support there.
What bulbs did you plant?
I can’t maintain a garden, but if I could, I would LOVE to have a whole flower bed full of Stargazer Lilies. They’re my favorite flower and I adore them.
Wow those are beautiful! Just some light pink and yellow lilies. a friend gave them to me from her garden. I xeroscape so my entire yard is all native and drought resistant plants. Lots of Texas Aloe, prickly pear and Lantana. If you lived in Texas you could have a zero maintenance garden of all cacti and succulents. They require zero care. My darwinian yard weeds out all the weak ones. I also have wild sunflower that grow every years, one year I had close to a hundred of them all over the yard. The quaker parrots love them. I love to cut them and put then in a vase on my table. I’m the ultimate in lazy gardener.
Overwhelmed with everything and saw my pdoc today and he just upped my dose of remeron..hope it makes me more suicidal! Lol
I would print out that pic and hang it on my wall but I don’t have a printer and am zero-sizing my possessions so wouldn’t make sense hah..love the pic in all honesty though an it’s also super pretty 🙂
It’s because I don’t have hi-speed internet of my own, but I AM however sometimes able to get a weak WiFi signal from my next door neighbor who for some reason didn’t put a password on their account.
I know.
I’m a bad person.
Send Johnny Depp over to spank me.
Anyway, sometimes the signal is so weak that it just doesn’t work.
But more than half the time, it DOES, so… hey.
We used to maintain an open network for our neighbors to use. Part of our philosophy that internet access should be a right and not a privilege. When we got out new router though we didn’t set up an open network for our neighbors which makes me sad. We should have.

Hey Obvious, when did you get promoted to Captain?
It would have been sooner, but the Internet connection wasn’t working until then.
Also the uniform seems a little tight.
Damn you and your witty comebacks.

You will appreciate that article. I was sitting here sobbing uncontrollably then clicked on that link and started soblaughing. Which is a real thing.
@alan: Years of practice.
@hazy: That’s hilarious!

My two favorites were the Crab Trailer and the Shore Hyphens.
I liked the Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers.
Yeah, seems about right. Starting to wonder why I should bother.
So far I’m still too stubborn to give up on everything.
Stick around; we can all be stubborn together.
LOL. And the Travel Snakes cracked me the hell up. How am I supposed to sob like a decent trainwreck when there is Cracked Magazine?

Yes. Article highly recommended.
And if I can laugh also, after the dark depressing trigger-filled week I had, you can all probably smile too.
I did laugh, it was great. 😀 Don’t know which one I loved most, although “Time terrorist” was pretty great.

Thank you! I was messing around with the photoshop program while waiting for the Internet connection to finally work, and that’s what I came up with.
I also understand about downsizing the amount of possessions.
I really need to start getting rid of stuff.
I own WAY too much stuff.
Why does your internet keep going down?
Promise you won’t say anything?
Ok.

Yup. Pretty much what that pic says.
Me too!
I figured it was something we could all relate to.
🙂
Yep. That about sums it up.
