I’m not sure who to talk to anymore. I have a girlfriend, but I can’t talk to her about my depression or else she will get depressed and it’s a whole big thing that I hate going through again. We recently got a dog to help cope with my depression but the dog is attached like glue to my girlfriend. I try hard to spend time and play with the dog and even when I’m in the same too the dog will go and sleep in a different room until my girlfriend comes home. It’s a sucky feeling. I feel like I’m the one being left out in the relationship. The hard part is that she loves the dog dearly and so I put up with it, but how long until I can’t take it anymore? I’m not sure. I hardly cuddle with her because the dog is always there and even when I try to cuddle the dog comes over and lays in between us and she likes it. I have so much emotion built up inside that sometimes I can cry easily

i’m not the person that should give any advice , but if someone really loves you , you should be able to communicate with that someone .
I think maybe you need to connect yourself more to the dog. (not saying stay away from your girlfriend)
I have a dog for depression, the way you build a bond with a dog is by doing things for it, to prove you are it’s friend. Take it for walks, play around with some toys, take it where you can go with it. Eventually you’ll find that the dog will be drawn to you as well. My dog is extremely social, and would probably sell me for a cookie any day, but the second I am down, or crying, she’s laying on my chest (She’s 60 pounds) and will comfort me until I smile and am ok. I’m sure that soon enough the dog will be taken to you.
But in seriousness, you need to speak up to your girlfriend. Whether she ends up depressed as well, it’s a matter of your depression that needs addressing more. I hope things work out for you
