In options, there’s Public, Password Protected, and Private.
If I click on Private, does that mean only sp members can see the posts? Can you all see my first post, Alone in this World? I made it private. I don’t want it picked up on google search or anything, but I do want ppl on this site to be able to see it.

It means only you and admin can view it. I think most posts can get caught in google cache with a direct search, but doubt that’s avoidable.
There used to be an option where you can post and only members can see your post.
Hi darkness
Your 1st post isn’t visible anymore. I can’t see it.
There is the option password protected so only people with the password can see your post. It’s like a club.
Yeas…if you google things SP posts can show up there! But almost never on the top…
Oh..
um.. i remember that. “must be logged in to view content”.. Not sure if that option is still available after the update, i can’t see it and it’s not in the quick edit function either.. maybe it could be done as a custom field.. no idea.
but apparently under the SEO pack (under screen options when editing a post) you can make sure a post isn’t indexed.. i think that it’d only pop up if searched directly, anyway..
If it really matters you could try looking in the helplink that connects to the wordpress page, i skimmed it some but it didn’t pop up.
Oh, what a pain. The whole POINT of this site is for things to remain anonymous. Now how can we stay anonymous if everything is indexed and searachable and viewable by everyone on search engines? Sure we can do Private, but then no one on this site will be able to see or comment on our posts either, which defeats the purpose of posting. The new changes are stupid!
Thanks for the info. I guess I’ll have to checkmark every single option for every single post O_o
Eh hasn’t stuff from this site by indexed by google for years? It even says that in the ‘read this first’ I think.
