Thanks to everyone who made suggestions on my previous post! This post is specifically for my love of dark anime lol. I’m into dark intellectual animes in particular. Also love action, fighting, ninjas, the supernatural, shinigami’s, superpowers, death, killing, blood, violence, vampires and such.
Here’s my list of faves:
Death Note
Kaiji
Darker than Black
Black Butler
Ghost in the Shell
Hunter x Hunter (original)
Rurouni Kenshin
Inuyasha
Natsume Yuujinchou
Hellsing
Naruto
Bleach
Which animes should I watch? Which ones are so awesome you would really recommend or can watch over and over again? Going to “pin” this and the other post for reference whenever I’m in need of finding things to watch. 😛

My favourite anime is yu yu hakusho. I wouldn’t say it’s extremely dark but it has every element that you enjoy
I think you might like Monster – it’s a dark anime set in post-WWII Germany that revolves around, well without giving too much away, the “perfect suicide,” questions about the value of human lives, identity, the nature/existence of evil, duty, etc…. though you may find the plot is a little slow-moving at times, I really appreciated its analysis of philosophical/psychological issues/questions … it definitely left me with a lot to ponder. I might add, though, that it doesn’t involve much of the supernatural/superpowers, and the action is less intense, but for me, it being subtle made it more compelling on a level that Death Note, which I liked a lot, didn’t quite reach ….

haven’t really watched anime in years sadly, and i’m sucky with names
the only one that i can recall that so far doesn’t seem to be mentioned in your posts are: Bludgeoning Angel, but it might not exactly fit the theme of “dark”
‘Another’ – is kinda a mistery/ horror anime, attack on titan 9(all time classic, even if you’ve already Sen it I’d rematch it cause the 2nd season’s coming soon)
‘When they cry’ – again, horror mystery,
Tokyo ghoul (slow start, but still cool)
That’s all i can think of right now, P.S. I don’t think you’re weird, cause i watch this stuff too and im a girl lol
Oh and uh “corpse party” (horror) and “black bullet” and “parasyte” which are both just weird but cool too, believe me if you think you’ve seen weird stuff, wait till you watch these.
I’m of course a guy just like to announce it since darkness thought I was a girl until I posted my pics yesterday so incase another thought different :p and I am a hardcore anime freak I have a load of figure collection it’s another coping resource of mine but I appreciate you recommending Tokyo ghoul to Darkness I love getting people hooked on it and HIGH 5 to you all who watch anime there is no shame I blast anime opening/ending and OST in my car ppl stare but I don’t care especially Tokyo ghoul opening unravel. I’m 26 been watching since I was 6 years old

Kabeneri of the iron fortress was very good came out in 2016
But dark anime fight it’s withought doubt
– Tokyo Ghoul
– Claymore
– Attack on Titan
Darkness I think you would like Tokyo Ghoul it takes place in our modern time still I love everyone’s comments especially Deadman Wonderland
Is claymore that good?
Haven’t watched it yet..
Greets Kur0-Nek0
Unbelievably good I’ve watched over 100 anime and claymore is still at my top ten list. I would had recommended clannad or D-Grayman but they are way too slow to catch onto the interesting stuff I’ll make a list of my top ten
Lol I’ve watched 213 animes in total..
I really have no life..
I will put Claymore on my “To-watch” list!
And I’ve already watched clannad, and I cried so much ;_;, ushio is too cute around the end of season 2 (If you know which scene I’m talking about)
And maybe I’ll make a list too one day, but I don’t really have a favorite though.
It really depends on the genre for me, not the anime itself.
Oh, have you already watched AnoHana?
If not give it a try, it’s pretty good!
Greets Kur0-Nek0
What 213 nice didn’t see that coming hey I don’t have a life either my reply to zombiegirl is still awaiting moderation it will explain some I guess that’s what happens when you attach a link on here. “Lol I’ve watched 213 animes in total..”
How do you know exactly how many you’ve watched? lol
Do you actually keep track of every single one you’ve watched?
Or is 213 just a random number? 😛
@ _darkness
I rate all my watched anime ( out of 10).
