Guys, I dont use drugs, but I need to feel well, funny, joyful. I am living with chronic pain and I am not strong enough to go out to look for a job without any help. I need help so I can continue my life, which is very painful. Does any of you have a medicine to reccomend for me? A medicine, pill or whatever which could cheer me up?
Please guys.
Just saying: I am not looking for ilegal drugs. And dont want this pills for a suicide method. It is just to make myself feel happy.
Thank you

Best medicine would be to hang out with happy, funny people. You are the sum of the five people you spend most time with.
But I can not get up from my bed, how can I hang out with friends? First of all I meed the strenght. My strenght cames from the medicine
Wantodie2. Is your pain controlled? I mean are you in bed because of physical pain only..r a combination of mental and physical pain? Do you have a doctor…i suggest you see your doctor. There’s no legal pill that can make you “happy” but there are medications that can work with your bodies own chemistry to make it so you are not as down. Most of those meds have some side effects but a few are not so bad… Wellbutrin is good and doesnt cause weight gain. Keep your head up. Get some medical help for your physical pain…and maybe help to better control your body chemistry that may be off..causing you to feel tired all the time and have no strength to function. I wish you well.. there’s help out their for you.
By happy I dont mean get “stoned” or “high”. I know there are some medications which act on the part of the brain responsible for the sensation of happiness and release specific hormones , so people feel better
Psilocybin?
Thanks Fally. What is this? Is it ilegal? What are the effects?
Again, thank you

Many other articles are there if you look into it.
As others have mentioned, you can go to your doctor and discuss your depression. There are all sorts of anti-depressants that are prescribed. Some of them are marketed under different names in Europe and the U.S., so the names can be sort of confusing. Among them are Prozac (also known as Sarafem and fluoxetine); Celexa (also known as Cipramil and citalopram); Lexapro (also known as escitalopram); and Wellbutrin (also known as buproprion). They’re not a guarantee to make you happy, but they do seem to have helped a fair number of people.
For me and a few of my other friends who have been on variety of the meds for months and years, the problem was that all of us were turned into basically potatos after a while. I’m an artist and these meds had long lasting negative effects on my creativity.
I don’t want that feeling either.
I use prescription drugs (not antidepressants) and that seems to work for me.
I don’t abuse it daily (perhaps three times a week) but it helps a lot.
What kind of artist, fally?
I don’t think there’s really a thing like this. If there was, there would be no depression.
You’re probably thinking about meds from ssri antidepressant category like Sertraline. They regulate the amount of serotonin level. However, they don’t work immediately, starting after two to six weeks, have a lot of side effects like nausea, diziness etc., are not available without prescription and don’t work for everyone.
Thank you all of you guys for the advices. It is really helpful
