Richard Russell stealing the plane and doing a barrel roll with it then dying has really moved me recently. I’m obsessed with him at the moment. RIP Sky King.
It moved me too. Like a swan song really. I mean this guy rolled a Q400 inverted and then did a split-s out the bottom right over the water. There is a beauty to this. It was most likely his first flight experience in a Q400 and he put through it’s paces in a way that may have never been done before. He took that airplane and himself to all the way to art in motion and then he breathed his last.
The conversations he had with an air traffic controller and one particular airline pilot gave rare insight into what the last hour would be like if it where really the last hour. I deeply appreciate the gift of insight he gave.

Yes. Although caking him an inspiration might be the wrong word here but wow. I just wish I could here some interviews
Calling, not caking – typo/autocorrect
Hear, not here – brain fart I guess, Idk how that happened. Regardless it bugged me a little
Honour to you, Sky King.
