I am glad you did that but I hope you can have that happiness maintained until something bad happens not to ruin it for you. What did you do at the beach.
To try and maintain happiness is a brutal pursuit and can create a way of thinking thats more detrimental than helpful. I prefer to maintain awareness of my emotional state and distance myself from depressing thoughts and not give into the feeling. It’s really just mindfulness. I was depressed all day on the 26th but I never once gave into it. I didn’t focus on it any more than recognizing that was what I was feeling. I had to keep shifting my mind all day to something else. It was easy enough for me because I make this my daily practice, even with positive feelings (gotta know how to get those feelings back!). It wasn’t a good day but it wasn’t that bad. It was raining hard here and I was stuck inside my trailer all day. A 20ft long 6ft tall box lol but I watched some movies and t.v. and laughed at nothing.
I didn’t do much. I talked to myself and weirded out some locals Haha. It was funny really. These two probably thought I was on a bluetooth headset but then realized I wasn’t. I collected some shells (I always do) and talked to the birds and just walked.
Just getting out was key though. Get away especially from the norm and that helps change things.
When something bad happens I just do my best to move on. Not focusing on the negative keeps room for the positive.

I love swimming. Except it messes up my fur, I mean hair. Nvm. If I enjoy it I should do it more often.

Its all about not giving up.
