Every day, there’s a sinking feeling in my stomach. I constantly think about hanging from my room ceiling and feeling my senses dwindle and dissipate. I’m only in middle school, goddamnit. Why do I feel this way?
kids today have it harder than any generation. you have to deal with 24 hrs a day being plugged into the world with all its ugliness and warts and hate and misery. so I think you have every right to feel sick even though you’re “just a kid”.. ESPECIALLY because you’re just a kid. i dont know how you survive but you have my respect
The world is in a pretty bad place right now and as Carlin famously stated “no one seems to notice and no one seems to care”. It is not you responsibility nor are you capable of fixing the world’s problems. Puberty is when mental illnesses often present themselves so you could be dealing with that. You are in middle school so you have a lot of time to figure yourself out. Start thinking about who you want to be as a 30 year old and plan how to get there.
have you tried getting help? when i first started dealing with depression i tried to and i wish i would have succeeded at it, i honestly believe that things would be so much better for me if i did.
I have also constantly had this problem, except with other ways of dying. I myself am around your age (actually probably the same age, depending on where you live) so I know how you feel about this world. I do not know what your a going through, or the extremism of your feelings. I know how it is to talk to someone though, and beat around the bush of your feelings. But to start living my life again, I had to finally step into the bush, and I feel you should do the same. If someone denies access to their heart or help, seek more trusted adults. I’m sure you will find someone to help, because I know you are loved, even though I have never met you. You are special, and hanging from a ceiling won’t help your problems. If you need anyone to talk to, I am here, and many others in this website as well. I really hope that you find hope, and know that many people around you would dearly hold you tight and give you happy life.
