I know this feeling. I never have felt like I fit in anywhere. Funny, though, I feel like I fit in here. Don’t pretend…be you and don’t care what others think or say. The real you may be different, thank goodness, because there is too much normal/average out there. We aren’t average. We are all thinkers who see beyond the facade of this average, mundane world.

I would gladly be like majority of people, dumb, but happy. Because I don’t fit in this society, that makes me unhappy and I feel alone. So you don’t say that being different is cool. Every person wants to FIT somewhere.
Notworthsaving and Shred…I feel ya. I just wrote a post called ‘No one Loves A Smartass’, where I enumerate some of the social disadvantages of being overly gifted in the brains department.
Many times in my 50 years I have had cause to wish that I could be ‘dumb, but happy’. Many times I have felt the pain and loneliness of the outsider.
And because right now you FEEL weak Notworthsaving, doesn’t mean that you are.
Shred, when did I say being different is cool? I said being normal means being different. Therefore, everyone is “normal”. And not everyone wants to “fit in” somewhere.

Don’t fight who you are, it only creates more inner turmoil. You don’t have to pretend. If you accept yourself, in time others will accept you also.
