I called the suicide hotline.
They put me on hold and a recording told me “Your total waiting time will be: 108 minutes.”
I hung up after 10 minutes.

suicide has surpassed car wrecks as the number1 cause of death (non-natural) in america. unless you live in lithuania or south korea (highest in the world)

i thought it was vegans who were the problem? dont even eat cheese for godsakes (haha im just joking)…(they really dont eat cheese, that was true.)

I don’t see why one should set up a suicide hotline if someone’s gotta wait over an hour to get help. It’s just awful.
i was just kidding. i was actually vegetarian for a while (not for the love of animals or anything) so i respect people who live to serve animals. i still have the whole (he’ll kill me in the wild) attitude. i know its a caveman mentality (humans arent even made to eat meat believe it or not)

Suicide hotlines are quite often counter-intuitive. Waiting that long would make you feel there is nobody for you. I’ve seen stuff on YouTube and the Internet showing the same thing – suicide hotlines are not always the most helpful. I’ve seen them hang-up on people with perfectly sound reasons, it’s tragic, I bet they’ve saved lives and caused deaths, someone hanging on a thread shouldn’t be subjected to waiting that long, if you needed it badly, I’m sorry they were not there for you.
Well if you hang up after 10 minutes your not going to get to talk to someone, maybe there are other phone line services, like a hospital ect.
I called Alcoholic Anonymous one night when I was quite drunk. They asked for my name. (How is that anonymous?)
Probably overload, the suicide hotline, too many humans realizing how vacant our ideals are now that we don’t spend all our time hunting for food.
