I honestly couldn’t tell you. Sometimes when I feel numb, all I want is to feel. Be it pain or joy, just to feel. And then when I feel anything, usually I just want to numb it all away again.
Or feel so much pain that you go numb. I would rather feel pain…but you’re right, it’s not a choice.
