I once had to stop a man from jumping of a building. It was totally unexpected. I was sitting on the edge, (behind a bar, just for the thrill, with no intentions of jumping off), and this guy just randomly stood up next to me, climbed over the bar, ready to jump. I never found out why he wanted to jump. He didn’t go through with it that day, but I heard months later he eventually did.
I hope you can find someone to talk to. And since we’re here, you might as well consider telling your story on this site. Letting out how you feel could help a great deal. No one really wants to kill themselves, people only think it or do it because they feel like the burden is too much. The fact that you’re here means you don’t want to kill yourself. You just want “it” to be over. Maybe it’s an overwhelming pain, or overwhelming boredom (A friend of mine attempted suicide 3 times because he was bored with life. Before knowing him, I had never thought of people feeling suicidal due to boredom.). Whatever it is, I hope you can share it with someone. I’m willing to listen if you want me to. I have depression and have suicidal tendencies too, so I’m not sure if I can be much help. I just hope you’ll talk to someone, anyone. Hang in there.
