This life is a tasking, enduring, teasing and a torturous pastime. A place basked in displeasure and enduring pain. One minute you are in extreme distress, then peppered with specs of gold promising to guild you enduring happiness, which are only and quickly blown away by the winds of reality.
The wedding day, your childhood Christmas, that promotion and a good grade are pleasures that you endure pain to achieve and are whisked away in to the darkness of maybe a non-exact expectation but most certainly by the coming day.
You have your moment to shine and they’ll say well done for your moment to then bathe in boredom, be king hit by your next Monday and be bathed in the sodden saliva by the next retred human.
They say that suicide is so bad and not to be done. But why should one ask? The fear of eternal damnation, the fear of the unknown, the hope of a better gold glitter day, or your responsibility mistakenly bestown? It’s true or even possibly not that this is the only one that you will ever be given, but it’s so crap, why keep it?
I don’t think that it is fair to be given a sentence of such a nature, to be placed in such a cannibalistic place, human eating human, pleasure from pain and nothing to learn, nothing to pass on and nothing to gain. And an eject button, suicide, making an educated and logical decision is cause for self-blame and the most costly, most painful hesitation for a right that is most certainly yours.
There are answers that may never be known, a torture more putrid than the spiteful hand of ‘Mother’ Nature. Why is the survival instinct so strong to overcome logic, if there were a purpose to it all it would be called a scam. When will the moronic species look and see that your achievement today will be paid tenfold in misery tomorrow.
When will the moronic understand that your discovery today only leads to your discovery for tomorrow? Your self propelling procreation of discovery, your cumulative procreation of your species, your self wanting destruction of yourself, your surroundings only propagates your misery, the misery from which I was born into and the misery from which I was born. What is the purpose…….?
Why are we here? What is the purpose? What is the meaning of life? A simple question that cannot be answered in this ‘place’, I put this to you, you who reads this message and all that have asked the question. If this were a pleasurable place, if this were a pleasurable experience, if this were an existence without ANY pain… I doubt the question would often be asked, and if it were it would be simple. “so that we may experience this wonderful existence and bring as many as possible to share it so that as many as possible may enjoy this wonderful experience that we call life, that is why we are here, the meaning of life is simply happinessâ€. This life however is not as such, so with torture, the ‘human’ endures its pointless, psychopathic mission into the darkness of the future with hope, a short memory and in slavery.

What would you have us all do? Kill ourselves? I don’t understand what your point is? Life is pointless? Well thank you so much for clearing that up. lol life is pain? Did anyone see that coming? hehe
You want life to have purpose? Meaning? A sugar coating? Life is what it is, isn’t it?
If you want life to have a true purpose, then you must give your life purpose. You must create it for yourself. It is so easy to write off everything life can offer as just being sorry and cruel and pathetic, but it takes a bit of hard work and careful thought to use what little life gives you to create a life worth living.
Nicely written; I think the point of life is not to think into it too much. 😉 Get your pleasures where you can. We’re all going to die anyway.
Yes, I agree with Percephone! 🙂
The answer to the meaning of life: 42.
Douglas Adams calculated it.
@Hella Precisely so.
@Persephone
Now we only need a good question.
Hi Realtalk
I would have you do nothing. I merely make the point that there is no point and yes to further clarify “life is pointless”. I note your “lol” and “hehe” and can only make the assumption that these are nervous ‘laughs’. That is fine.
Life is what it is indeed, however if all you and your predecessors do amounts to nothing in the winds of time, I ask why suffer and why be part of the system to propagate further suffering.
“lol life is pain? Did anyone see that coming? hehe” If life is pain and that is somehow amusing to you and you see that life is pain as logical, this further confirms my point that you merely ignore your current and present predicament, and further to this should you choose to bare a child are you sadistic?
to your point that you must put in work to create what little life gives you. I think that this is a truly sad statement. does this mean, give me a pound of your pain and I will give you a grain of pleasure in return? ‘ take what you are given and like it’, you will get what you’ve been given and be grateful. I see your point in the fact that you have no choice but to accept the term of this transaction (you were born and you will ‘do’ until you pass). I do not accept that every person brought to this world would have entered on the terms “you must put in work to create what little life gives you”
Fair is fair & fair is Fair
You are better than that and if we werent enslaved I think that you would simply strike. Unfortunately the survival instinct is the strongest instinct of all and because of this we continue with our pain (making excuses to continue) and then inflict further suffering on all that you bare because of our pathetic individual instinct and selfish species level instinct…. sadly above all reasoning
Persephone
a good philosophy, “get your pleasures where you can” I get many, but where does it go really? “get your pleasures where you can” almost sounds like begging for food.
We ALL die anyway… so true, so why achieve, why bother?
a good question. May I ask and may I suggest?
1. your question *insert here*
2. those poor rebels in Syria (something current), the countless massacres and genocides throughout history, the individual murders and small acts of cruelty were the actions of your ancestors. The bloodline that flows immediately from you from this day forward will be no different. My question is, do you hold any responsibility from here on from this day forward?
Why bother? Perhaps because we were already born. If a person has the ‘means’ for contentment, they should try to be appreciative. There is no way every single human being will ever kill themselves at once. The human race will continue until it is obliterated by a force beyond human control. It is difficult to find meaning in anything when suffering depression, but one can start by looking at what one can be thankful for in one’s life. Sometimes, life can be an adventure. It is unpredictable and full of unexpected happenings – some beneficial, some detrimental. All a person can do is try to sway the tide in their favour.
Death can occur randomly, at any moment, caused by a failure of the body, or by an accident, or caused by another living being. To live is putting ourselves in danger, for we cannot always know what unseen hazards surround us. Nevertheless, there can be much beauty in life and existence. Open your eyes – “beauty is where you find it.”
Humans would never have progressed to this point if they had all given up in the beginning. Somehow, over the ages, people transformed from prehistoric Cro-Magnons to the present day denizens of the Information Age. Over the years, humans have achieved remarkable feats, and even those who didn’t achieve so much on a ‘grand scale’ assisted in keeping the world spinning, through every effort they made to others.
Should the human race collapse and fall? Perhaps it should, but that is not our decision to make. The inhabitants of the planet Earth will continue to propagate and prosper, and no one knows when the cycle will end.
Existence may be arbitrary, but one does not have to focus on this fact. There is much to do and experience in life. If a person has their health and mobility, they always have the option of striving for and achieving goals. If one stops seeking for a deeper purpose in a world without meaning, one will be better suited to enjoying the smaller things in life. It is a never ending cycle, but it is one that cannot be helped – so, take what you can.
If you die a premature death, you will help nothing, and your death would be even more meaningless than your life, if you did not even try to make something of it. And it is never too late to put forth an effort. There is always someone who will be thankful for it. If one failed at their aims in the past, it does not mean they are useless. Perhaps, their gifts are needed elsewhere. If a person reaches out to others, their life and death will /always/ make an impact, no matter what ‘little’ they may believe they have done. Every person counts, when they step into the pond of life, and the ripples caused by their existence may extend far wider than they ever dreamed possible.
