Im looking for a easy, quick, painless and sure suicide method, but I dont want to risk being blind, disfigured, scarred, paralyzed, or brain damaged if my suicide attempt fails. How risky is the helium method? The Less “Risky” it is means I make a full recovery if I survive. Its where I buy a helium tank, a plastic bag, and a tube to connect to connect the helium to the bag. I put the bag over my head, breathe the helium and pass out. What are the odds that I would end up blind, disfigured, scarred, paralyzed or brain damaged if I survive?

The helium method relies on reducing your oxygen supply to a point where you loose consciousness and subsequently die.
Any method that cuts off the supply of oxygen to your brain in this way carries a serious risk of permanent brain damage.

What about being blind or paralyzed? Im not nearly as worried about mental retardation as I am about being blind and paralyzed. How big is the risk for that? Where are all the retarded, blind or paralyzed victims of the failed helium suicide attempts?
I don’t think that failing to execute the helium hood method properly would result in paralyzation or blindness. Your spinal column will remain intact, so no paralyzation is possible I don’t think. I’m fairly sure blindness is not a risk, but I’d have to double check.

how is a brain damage doesn’t render blindness or paralyse? if you damage the ‘motor part of your brain you will be paralysed’.

If you failed to die by this method and got brain damaged but to be left alone for a few days being brain damaged, would I still be able to end up dying because of the brain damage? Could anyone answer this question?
