How did survivors of suicide receive help espevially those going through lack of finance for their family.Hi guys just want to share my experience lately.i am generally a ver hardworking person, i have always been able to take care of my little girl even as a single mum. Things have been really dark for me lately after i lost my job.
I am in serious trouble as i am supposed to pay my rent by tommorrow evening or to be kicked out as i am a few months behind. Odd jobs currently are atleast putting food on the table but i need to pay my rent as I cant take my daughter to a shelter not after working this hard all my life.
Scammers have made getting help so difficult, am realy frustrated. Wish I had family to run to for help. Is suicide the only way out am tired of the constant pain.

What about government assistance programs? Since you are a single mother you can get food stamps and other benefits….Your child needs you….I’d bet they rather struggle with you in a shelter than struggle without you as a ward of the state or orphanage…
You need to apply for some benefits …they are out there so use them….Food stamps, Welfare, WIC etc etc….there are many programs that can help you….Have you tried temp services? ….can you get a loan from someone? what about a cash advance? Is there anyway you can negotiate something with the landlord? Maybe agree to pay him 10-20% more next month? I mean that’s risky but its about to get cold out and you need not be in the cold with a child….
If only there was a way to monetize the exposure and dismantling of scammers’ obstructive practices, which prevent people from being able to locate the help they need, or even determine whether it actually exists…
It’s something i’ve thought about a lot.
What do we do, once this place accomplishes its objective and convinces us to tentatively postpone suicide, and attempt to reach for feasible solutions?
Where are the solutions? How do we reach them? How do we even know where to begin looking for any solutions? How do we bypass all the crap in the way, and get started on actually doing something about anything, instead of just going right back to the same position that lead us here due to feeling stuck and helpless?
Once someone decides: “okay, i want to try to do something to make things better, instead of killing myself right now…”
They’re going to need some sort of method, some sort of accessible system or service built to facilitate their own desire to affect useful change.
But every time i’ve felt that way, i’ve realized i’m just right back where i was, no access to any feasible or effective solutions to begin fixing what was so wrong to lead me here in the first place.
Someone needs to create a solution for this problem, or the problem will persist, which will only reinforce the idea that sufficient improvements either don’t exist, or are not accessible.
Somehow you’ll find a way. That’s what you have to believe. It seems impossible now and it will probably take years to dig yourself out of the hole but there isn’t really an alternative when you’ve got children to think about.
I’m not trying to berate you but you must’ve known for a while that you’re facing the street. Given your dire circumstances beg a friend or anyone that you know to let you stay with them until you can find a more stable job.
I agree with the other posters here, talk to the landlord, make a partial payment-they might be flexible. But sitting around doing nothing will just lead to an eviction.
I was in a similar boat, but I could see up to a year ahead what was about to happen to myself and my family member I’m living with (disaster) so I busted my ass over that year to find a decent job and I succeeded just in time.
Swallow your pride-do anything you can for yourself and your child. Don’t leave your child behind, she’ll become a ward of the state and possibly end up getting abused or worse. Be there for her. You must have at least 1 friend who’d be willing to let you stay with them for a short while. Good luck.
Clevername, the only effective solution I know of to change one’s life is money and that usually means finding a decent job to improve your situation.
Of course when it’s hard to find work that is a serious problem and I think that is where the state should take responsibility knowing full well that in a Capitalist economy work can sometimes become scare.
I think there should be a mixed type system-but one that will obligate people to work. When no jobs are available, people can stay home and the state pays all the expenses. I know it’s very socialist-which to my friends would be ironic because they think I’m a right-wing capitalist. I’m actually centrist.
