We are all composed of skin and bones,
so what makes one ugly, and the other not?
we judge
and judge
and judge
and insert so much hate, so much pain into  the minds,
the minds of little girls and boys pinching at their skin in the mirror
the minds of adults covering their skin, their stretch marks, their age..
so tell me, what makes your skin and bones more beautiful than mine?

I don’t know yours. Mine are old, a bit overweight, but flexible and relatively healthy. Age 69. Yes, we old people do exist too.
Nothing for me specifically but others may just look better. I mean you know if someone is aesthetically pleasing. We are all humans yes but when you put us under a magnifying glass and scrutinize individual appearances some people have more than others. I’m certainly not turning any heads but some people can walk down the street and literally cause a car accident or two
I think that it’s just human nature to judge the world around us. We want it to be flawless, but it never is. Perhaps the biggest flaw is the human mind.
i didn’t say my skin is better than yours.my skin is ruined by acne scars.
I see a trend where people blame judgment itself for their own inferiority or lack of appeal. If someone finds you unappealing or requires someone with more developed skill, or simply is only interested in sharing time with like minds… that is not the fault of judgment. Don’t blame judgment for your lack of appeal or prowess. Everyone judges; that’s supposed to happen. That’s part of discernment and making good decisions.
If you’re not what i want, then you’re not.
If i’m not what you want, then i’m not.
There’s no need to demonize “judgment” itself. Demonizing judgment is tantamount to opposing free will and intelligence. If no one was allowed to judge, no one would be allowed to make their own choices.
Judgement isn’t the problem. The real problems are more about misuse and abuse of judgment; which criteria are used, and why; the values people are taught, as well as those chosen according to human nature; the elevated and unreasonable expectations, and why people have them.
The reason judgment is demonized is because people are not taught to use that skill, that tool, appropriately.
Just like with guns: guns don’t kill people; people do. The guns aren’t the problem, people’s intent to misuse them, and lack of better judgment, are the problem.
Instead of demonizing all judgment as bad, everyone should be embracing the idea that we should all learn to use it more appropriately and effectively. If you demonize all judgment, then no one will ever learn how to use it appropriately, And, people will still generically blame all judgment for their problems, instead of figuring out how to solve them, and to accept the lack of solutions when there is no way to solve something.
