Has anyone decided where they will take their life? I know a lot of people want someone particular to find them, but what about those who don’t wish that fate on anyone? Do you know what you’ll do? Will you kill yourself in the ocean and let “loved ones” search for you for the rest of their lives? Or do it in your home so a random will find you? I’m trying to choose somewhere that no one who knows me will find me but won’t leave people searching for me forever. Any ideas??

I will do it out in the woods or forest somewhere.
i think that i’ll hang myself in bedroom, or shoot in the bathtub. also want to stab my stomach in the bathtub.
I usually imagine if I’m really gonna take my own life. I’m gonna boil some hot or warm water, then take it to the bathroom with a bucket or something and with knife I will cut my wrist in that bucket while wearing my favorite jacket and pants.
I’ve always planned to do it in a Circle K, So the world may see my suffering.
Rent a hotel room for the night. Leave a note of apology for the maid, perhaps even a tip if you can manage. She or he will be the one who finds you. You can also leave instructions as to how your affairs are to be handled.
If you’re old enough and can afford it, get a room with a hot tub, some champagne or pot, rent your favorite movie, enjoy your last evening. You might even decide not to die. But if you do, you will be in a place where you will be found soon by someone who doesn’t know you well. And, if your method fails, you will be found and get medical attention rather than suffer. That is what we want to escape, after all, suffering.
If I had the ability, I would park at my wife’s work and end it right there in my car. Let her or someone who works there find me. I’d like her to witness it if possible. id like to see her suffer since she is why I feel like this to begin with.
If not, someplace peaceful where I won’t be easily found. It depends on method. I can picture myself taking a concoction of sedatives, walking out into the ocean once I feel it kicking in, then let the sea do the rest. Certainly its foolproof, especially at night.

Depends on your chosen method.
I would say leave your area. Find a quiet place. You can drown in a lake if thats your thing. Water is mine as I am most comfortable with it, and where I attempted it the last time. Only mistake I made was calling my wife to say goodbye. I had already taken more than enough of a cocktail to end it, I should have just not made the call and let the mixture do its thing. Well, she is gone and even took my phone, so I won’t even have a phone to call, so you can bet next time I’ll do it right and complete.
@ Wifeisgone, Wow, someone did just that to me ^. He wanted me to suffer, even tho he had already inflicted horrible suffering upon me. He called me just before he did it, I tried to talk to him, tell him that I don’t hate him, that I do care, etc. That conversation lasted maybe a minute, and he suddenly hung himself and I was left panicking, calling 911 and a taxi for me. I arrived at the house just as the cops did, but they wouldn’t go in without calling for backup and having more info. I told them that every second counts, so I broke into his window and found him hanging there. Screaming and freaking out crying, I managed to let the cops in the house and I don’t remember much more of those moments. I was laying across the floor, screaming, crying. It was terrible and scary.
The next four days spent in the icu are a big blur for me. No sleeping, hallucinations, generally felt like I was going crazy. Like his ghost was there, watching, stalking me. Then they took off the life supports. Until now, the nightmares never end, I always feel like I’m being watched. Like someone is in the house. (he stalked me for 1 1/2 yrs prior to hanging himself) It really causes horrible suffering and ptsd when someone takes their life and tries to make it as painful and horrific for someone they target to find them.
I am so damaged from that experience that will never fade from my memory. Please try to consider what that will do to the person that you want to punish in this way. Idk what she did to you, but I do know the verrrrry long lasting, very damaging effects that she will have to suffer through if she finds you that way. I don’t know your situation or what she did to you, but I wanted you to know how badly that can effect her for life. Maybe she was awful and that’s what you want. For her to suffer so much. I just wanted to give you an idea of what the suffering could be like.
I hope that you can find peace in your life and that these thoughts to off yourself are not only caused by your wife leaving you. There are billions of people in this world and you’ll surely find someone who is better than her for you anyways. 🙂
I’ve tried to hang myself in my closet a few times. Obviously hasn’t worked yet as I am a coward about pain. But I relly would not like to die in my house. I do not want mom or siblings to find me lifeless.
I am such a dreamer I have this death fantasy. The fantasy is that I will jump out of a tall building window and never hit the ground just disappear. Fly away. Then there will be no body to be found, no skull-cracking concrete impact. I heard about a legend of the flying Igboos. They were African slaves that decided to drownd themsevls in a pond rather than be slaves anymore. But a legend was made that they had grown wings and flown home to Africa. Do I really believe that I could fly out of a window and disappear? Honestly yes. If god would decide to help me, yes.
