That show freaks me out so much but I still watch it!
And after reading the comics, I realised that we are all “the walking dead” because one day, we will all die. We are just walking around until that day.
Television is garbage? Haha, no offense, but only people who don’t watch much of it say that, because there are some quality shows out there. You might have to dig around a little, check out different countries, but I consider myself a TV/film critic, and I can assure you that there are shows that are worth your while (depending on a person’s individual tastes).
I haven’t seen The Walking Dead myself. I’m not too big on American horror/drama television shows or whatever. I don’t like how these productions take themselves so seriously. I prefer something that’s a little more tongue-in-cheek. Britain is good for that.
Speaking of foreign entertainment, ‘Les Revenants/The Returned’ is an eldritch, poetic, and melancholic series about unsuspecting mountain-dwellers who come back from the dead, which originated in France. (France has a tendency to only produce a few original shows, which are generally shitty or mediocre. The rest are reality or American imports, but this is one fine exception.) If one doesn’t mind subtitles, one might want to give it a go. Unfortunately there is going to be an American remake… they would never have heard of this one if the U.K. hadn’t broadcast it to success on Channel 4. Damn those unoriginal Hollywood producers.
The U.K. also has a current series regarding zombies – ‘In the Flesh’ (originally shown on BBC Three). I haven’t seen it yet, but I hear it’s supposed to be good.
It’s hard to explain. I just can’t find much of value in practically any of it.
It seems to be geared towards keeping the general public stupid. And then every ten minutes or so you have to sit through a bunch advertisements trying to sell you on one thing or another.
I just have no interest in watching it anymore. Although some programs are kinda cool like American Justice, Cold Case Files, Forensic Files. I also have watched quite a few well done documentaries as well that I really liked.

i agree.
Yeah try watching the Dagestan Massacre. It’s been weeks since I first saw it and I’m still having nightmares about it.
I don’t watch television anyways. It’s garbage.
we are all walking dead ( to some extent). We begin to die as soon as we are born (basic biology).

@ Persephone – I watched plenty of it when I was younger. I stopped for a reason.
What was your reason? I’m just curious. Would you advocate utilizing one’s imagination through reading instead? Nothing wrong with that either.

You think? Or is it just wishful thinking that we could be so base in our desires or have it over with in such a short period of tme?
