Tonight I gave in. I now have four more reminders of the battle i’m fighting, and my demons within. Blood stained wrists, I wish I would’ve never started.
Lot’s of people feel that once they fail at something they have gone all the way back to the beginning and all of their work went to shit, for nothing. But that is in fact not true. The amount of time you were able to not bring pain to yourself still remains and this is only a little setback to the amount of time you will be able to not cut again. Maybe this time you will be able to resist doing it for 7 days, then 12, then months and one day years and longer.
The fight continues and it may not look it now but your slowly winning.
Thank you, that means so much.. It is true. It just is frustrating
And embarrassing and I feel weak, but everything you said was true. If you ever need an encouragement I would be happy to:)
You can’t expect of yourself that you can just stop with cutting from one day to another, without ginving in. Cutting is such an addictional thing (speaking from own experiences) and it’s really hard to stop with it, so it’s already an amazing thing that you’re trying to stop. You get all my respect, because it’s a thing I’m not able to, and you are. You have to courage to try to stop! Please keep fighting against that urge, I really hope that one day all your work will end in a cutting-free life. Good luck!
I’ll do almost everything to let another person smile, even if it is for one second 🙂 So I’m really glad that my comment made you smile 🙂 Please hun, don’t give up, live is so much more than you think. I’m really proud of you that you want to stop cutting, and I’m sure that you will stop one day without having a relapse, but it will always be a struggle, every day, and you will still have the urge. But one day you’ll be stronger than the urge, and you don’t have to cut anymore. Don’t give up!! <3

please don’t berate yourself for falling down
‘our greatest glory consists not in never falling down, but in rising every time we fall’
Thank you:)
