The honest truth:
We all have felt like we don’t matter, that no one is listening to word you say.
We all have seen and heard what words can do, with the cuts and deaths.
The people around world, we’ve seen the horror,
The romance, and the heartache of it all.
The kids, the teens, the almost adults, young to the old
Yeah, we’ve seen the world go round ever so slowly.
The world that you and me live in
Don’t we get a say?, in this life we live?
We don’t get a choice from left or the right
They’ll tell me, and they except me to listen without a word.
What if i don’t want what you want
See me for me, not someone you want me to be.
Or someone you except me to be.
Understand my happiness, understand the pain I’ve been through.
We say peace and love, but do we actually do something?
Or do we stand there, wait for the world to let us finally breathe?
I want you to be who you wanna be, don’t let the world tear you down.
Refuse to back down, refuse to ignore the hurt you feel.
Cause out of all this hate and hurt, there has to be some hope.
They tell fake it till you make it, but I’m done with that.
I’m done with pretending that I’m not broken or shattered
I’m done pretending my world is made of rainbows and butterflies.
I’ll finally say the truth, I’ll tell you the sad truth.
I’ll say what’s on my mind, and I’ll say it without regret.
I promise I will.
Truth be told I thought I was such a lost cause.
I’d wish I could fly, so high in this deep blue sky.
Fly away from you and away from everything else.
but here’s the honest truth: I’m a cutter
