Well, would you rather feel or become nothing more than a conduit of apathy? An organic being capable of sensation – good, bad and fugly – or a lifeless drone analogous to that of a Terminator (albeit less war-ry).
For me, feeling is a necessary evil. Without it, I’d know no love…passion…anger…happiness…despair. Feelings and sensations outright provide a somewhat tangible feedback to our person’s – to our very soul – and as futile as it can often be to materialise or make sense of what we feel; without it we simply cannot claim sentience.
