Yes, but I went for it anyway. I was happy for nearly a decade, then my husband died. Though his loss has driven me to suicidal thoughts/tendencies, I wouldn’t have traded those years to save myself from the pain.
There is always risk, but happiness is worth the risk. Never be afraid to be happy. Go for it, and seize it, and take everyday as a special, amazing gift. Knowing that it can all end in a blink of an eye is what makes it so special. Yes it’s frightening. But if you hide from the best parts of life because they’re so fragile, you’re not really living.
You never know what could happen. The only guarantee we have is that we will all die someday. Other than that, everything is possible. All your wildest dreams could come true. Some people actually have amazing lives. That’s what made me keep going. Things work out for some people, so it stands to reason that I had a chance that things would work out for me, too. We all have a chance.

Oh well. To live is to risk, right? Thank you anyway :’)
