I’m sorry you are sad. I know the feeling too well. I wish I had a funny joke to cheer you. Wait- let me tell you a funny moment- it may mean nothing to you… but pretend it does (pun of my name is NOT intended! 😉 )

My boss was so kind today- three out of her five employees called out sick or car trouble, etc…. She came to my desk and a co-workers desk, thanked us for coming to work and gave us comfy, soft knit socks. (I work in a call center, and I often need her help and we put up a small sign at our desk for her to know). I thought they were cute, so I put them on, then I raised my toe and asked if this was how I call for help?! She shook her head, then I said, oh of course not and I said phew u and waved my hand. She laughed! It felt like I made her genuinely laugh! (I like making people happy).
