In mindfulness practices
The deep,
tonal voice of your guide
Asks you, in total
Calm
And assuredness
To feel the support of the chair beneath you
The ground beneath you.
Feel your existence
Your total and complete existence
Approved by the earth itself.
Feel every ounce of pain
Every place of discomfort
And also
Every part of your body working
Normally
In such harmony and efficiency that you don’t even need to pay special attention to it
…it is the greatest blessing.
I know that my mind is in anguish
And the world seems to have been turned upside down.
Why is darkness descended upon the earth
In such an unseemly hour?
Night arrives too early
And my mind is too plunged into darkness.
But I’m still here.
One day, regardless of how I am feeling this instant, I will not be here.
And I thank my body for being here, for being normal
Never asking for thanks
But I thank you.

I love this. Always remind people to be grateful and present in the moment. During a hospital stay, I was learning about mindfulness all over again in group therapy. I had forgotten those key coping skills from DBT therapy. So it’s very helpful. Anyone can find information about mindfulness and what DBT therapy teaches you online. You don’t have to necessarily have Borderline Personality Disorder, the skills still help.
People are choosing darkness and Satan, that’s why the world seems upside down. So I choose to push back and give light and positivity when I can. I won’t just lie down and let the evilness take over.
Just do the best you can. Even when Jesus was here, people chose darkness. They will pay for it though. Just keep moving forward.
