I found out i got a 34% on my math exam today. I’m afraid to go home or just talk about it. I let myself down and everybody els. My parents my teachers are going to kill me….. What should I do? Where should i go?
I doubt your teachers are going to kill you…. Ummmm maybe just tell your parents and see what happens? Do you know why you got that grade on your exam? if so try to explain the reasoning to them and find a way to fix it for next time (if you want to that is….)
either way good luck…. a 34% isn’t horrible, and it may or may not prevent you from passing the class…. You can’t really do anything about it anymore, so no real need to feel that bad about it. It was just a thing that happened, no actual need to feel anything about it anymore. I do hope that your parents and teachers don’t get as angry at you as you fear (and they realistically won’t, but I can’t promise that since I do not know them) but please don’t feel like you let them down, really you didn’t let anybody down, except possibly yourself…. But that’s up to you to decide.
Either way good luck you really should just let them know, don’t offer excuses or anything. I do hope it goes well *hugs* good luck.
you dad is an idiot with anger issues if he gets upset about that,
unless you are a prodigy already on your final year in university, getting a 34% on a maths exam means nothing,
since you are 15, there will likely be plenty of exams later you can try and make up for, and depending on your direction in life and what “carrier” path you go down it might even mean much less, since not every opportunity is doomed by getting a 34%
well he probably won’t kill you, and I’m sure he’ll forgive you eventually. If he doesn’t then he’s not really worthwhile having as a father. I’m certain he’d understand that you can’t be perfect and that you will make mistakes.
Well if your parents get upset over your low grades, it’s only because they care about you and don’t want to see you fail in life.
It’s best to talk to them (without showing the grade first) and explain you haven’t been doing well and give them reasons why. Obviously there’s something going on that’s preventing you from studying properly and attaining better grades. If they’re understanding parents I’m sure they’ll try to work with you to help you improve.
I used to tutor math in high school and one student I had simply refused to try to learn. She wanted me to fake our lessons but I was genuinely interested in helping her. However she was very stubborn and I decided against reporting her to my supervisor.
Math is not hard if it is explained properly. I know because I’ve had both good and bad teachers and the bad ones might have the knowledge but they’re terrible at explaining it. If you have a bad teacher then you might need to re-take the class with someone else or get a tutor. If you’re having emotional issues like depression that’s stopping you, consider seeing a therapist-this is something to discuss with your parents.
When you’re studying make sure you have no distractions like the internet, tv or video games/friends, etc. Make school your first priority. It’s a tough world and without a good education it’s hard to go far in life. Also don’t take it so hard-everyone has had a bad grade now and then. The key is to learn from it and get better, best of luck.
Honestly, you should be more concerned about your own future, the real reason you go to school. Not other people’s reactions. What do you want to do after school?

I hope…
you should be okay…. And yeah Snorlax is right, it probably won’t matter in your future. Good luck *hugs*
You can try taking his feelings into account.
When talking try structuring your sentence *exactly* like this-
I feel [this way], and you might feel [this way], because of [the situation that you both are in].
Addressing the feelings that cause your dad to act a certain undesirable way can make him feel understood, and let you both figure out a mutual truce.
I have tried before

There are worse things in life. I mean, you got one out of three!

You wont understand…
