I told myself that I write this, but I don’t know how to explain. Plus, my energy has been low. Normally, I don’t have low energy. Here it goes:
The second thing I hate the most are managers like we can’t be friends. If I was drowning and someone who is manager came to save me. I would jump back in the water. Let me share some truth about success in the job market. It isn’t about hard work, isn’t about showing up on time, school, or doing volunteer work. Nope, it’s about being a part of the clique. You gotta fit in. Fake everything about yourself to please them. Think high school. The number one person you want to please is your boss. Boss, I hate that word, makes me sick. Kiss him or her ass, and sometimes you don’t have to do your work. The manager will keep you around because “it” likes you.
I remember working at Wal-Mart and there was this manager that fall asleep in his car, but because the higher manager liked him. He got to stay. My brother worked at Sheetz and these other employees got to show up late, but he couldn’t do because he wasn’t a favorite. My friend had to quit her job before she got fired. She was working as a waitress, and these girls would come in and harass her. One day they complained to the manager and he took their side. One manager would cut my mom’s hours on purpose because she know that my mom didn’t support Hillary Fucking Satan. She didn’t preach her political opinions. She just didn’t join in on the conversions they would have about her,and the manager picked on it. Of course, someone would quit and my mom would get her hours back.
Sometimes, the managers have these little pets that try to come after you because the manager wants to get rid of you. If they don’t like you, they will find an excuse to get rid of you. Two guys were trying to get rid of my brother with food code violations, but he didn’t get fired because he covered his butt by writing down the incidents, so he could show it to a lawyer. If you’re the manager’s pet, you can get a free ride up the ladder. This one **** at Domino’s was assistant manager at 18 because she was the store manager’s pet, and she sucked up to a higher boss as well. She was a fucking *****, if she didn’t like you as person. She would write you up. She wrote me and others up as well. So what did you guys learn today. It’s all about being in the clique.
I will never move up the job ladder because I hate managers. At a job, I don’t really talk to them, but they get rid of you sooner or later. My social skills and I’m highly autistic. I hate the world. How fake everyone is, and what you have to do to move up. I might not be able to make it in the job market because I refuse this formula of kissing ass, and I just have this ability to make people hate me, but I would rather starve on the streets then kiss the ass of some pathetic excuse for a human being.
I already have my plan set up, if I become homeless. Luckily, my parents keep me around. Beg for a couple of dollars per day for food and hygiene products, then in my free time. I’ll go to the library, get books, and play on their computers. You can do a lot of things on the computer. Also, I would sleep in my car, and take a bath in single bathrooms at gas stations. I read this guy’s blog on tips on how to live without a home. I could be a free woman of the land, and never be a slave to this wrenched system. When you got talent, everything is free. It’s wrong but I think about like a wild animal, where I could sneak into people’s gardens and eat their fruits and vegetables, then go into their hen house and steal the eggs and eat them. I would get arrested wouldn’t I? Churches would take care of me. If worse came to worse, I would eat the insects and reptiles that crawl on the ground. I love animals. I don’t want to do this.

My 2 cents? I would dare say many companies are set up to promote screw off’s and not promote the productive people for the simple expedient of the work needs to get done. This management philosophy is best called FUMU – Fuck up, Move up. Sadly it is not confined to the Walmart’s of this world either. Some tech companies are doing this too, for example.
I have worked several jobs where FUMU was not being done. The good news was that I held the managers in high esteem and they damn well deserved it. The other good news is they brought out the best in me.
So life is hard really really hard, most managers suck, but I hope you get to experience working for a competent manager at least once. It is nice.
Bluediamond, I wish I had the courage to practice your plan myself. The thought of just being free of The Rat Race and corporate insanity, but I’m a sellout who enjoys his creature comforts. I like your idea.
Work sucks. It always has and it always will. I never had a job I enjoyed and never had that “cool boss” or manager people talk about.
I too have thought about being homeless. A friend of mine used to hop trains from town to town and get for money, got to see the country and didn’t have to work. But there are things that are not so great about that. It’s dangerous and you never know who you’ll run into.
Yeah. It’s the romantic notion of “just being free” that is appealing. The actual doing is a different story.
Dont be afraid. Do whats right. Allah rules this world, not human beings. Allah feeds u, mankind is the means.
