Β few weeks agoΒ I dropped my wallet somewhere and I couldn’t find it to save my life and that’s where I had all my money and all that stuff. I looked everywhere Β in my room in my car practically everywhere Β and I sat down I was trying to think when was the last time I saw it and the last time I remembered having it was when I was at Starbucks the night before. so I was like Wow Let me give it a shot. So with the little gas that I had left I drove to Starbucks I got to tell you that drive was so quiet so serious I literally was having all kinds of thoughts and I was not really active on the Forum here at that time but I was thinking about the members here also I was telling myself “this happens to people this had to happen to you as well if anything that it’s time to go”
but anyways I got to Starbucks and I walked inside and I asked shaking if there was a wallet that was found and the girl in the register she says “yes! actually somebody found it yesterday in the parking lot and brought it inside” and I was just shocked with no words and I was like “OMG wow ummm haha can I make an order than while I’m here” and they’re smiling/laughing “of course” so I finally found it! So I bought a vente Hot coffee I thanked the employees and all thatΒ I got my wallet back and I was able to go and buy something to eat real quick. I honestly didn’t expect that to happen I swear I was going to end it if I didn’t get my wallet because there was no one & no other place for me to turn to and I wouldn’t even have any gas left to go to work or food to eat so miracles do happen and God bless that person who found my wallet!
And just now I went to Starbucks and this time I bought a pumpkin spice latte which I originally wasn’t planning to buy for the second time in the week because there $5 which is expensive for me so I only buy one latte from Starbucks once a week. The latte it just puts me in such a great mood especially in the cold season. So as I’m waiting for my pumpkin spice latte the girl tells meΒ that she gave the latte a way to the wrong person from the Drive-Thru I was like “oh no problem” she said panicky “I’m so sorry hun I gave away that latte I made a big mistake” I said smiling “oh no problem I’ll wait for the next one I’m not in a rush please take your time” she goes “you know what here do you want this?” she gave me a free egg nog latte which was the one that she misplaced and the one that I originally ordered was a pumpkin spice latte which I saw she was already in process of making so I got a free latte and
In picture the pumpkin spice I already drank which is the one with the lidΒ popping out & I colored in the flashing light. And I learned a big lesson to always double-check and make sure that my stuff are always with me and to always keep cash in Reserve but at the same time I’m not going to lie guys I was kind of hoping that I wouldn’t get that wallet because that would just be that edge that I needed to go forth with ending it! when you’re pushed to far to a corner you’d be surprised how serious/silent my drive was few weeks back to that Starbucks.
All the same as the wrong always happens in your life there has to be one ONE GOOD thing that has to happen as well and all my life whenever I found somebody’s belongings if it was a wallet or money I always returned it to the person thank God life paid me back with that same kindness. I’m in the starbucks parking lot right now finishing off the other still sad/lonley but temporary happy

these things do happen. it’s refreshing to know that there are people out there who won’t run off with your wallet, money and all intact. ive had this happen to me quite a few times, but have gotten better at not losing it. cheers!
Thanks! I was amazed & also happy to know that I always gave back what I found if it was my coworkers wallet from the cafeteria or a bikers wallet that I found in NYC bike path all returned to the person it belonged to no problem. I actually got to see how it felt having something returned to me than how i felt returning something. I gotta say having something returned to me felt way better than anything man a moment of relief I had coupons gift cards all my last resorts incase I fell short for the week. Cheers
Aww, glad you got your wallet back. Free latte drinks are always nice.
thanks man. Today was a stressful day & I had thoughts of trying my method out but just having the little things like getting a free latte while communicating with those good people from Starbucks just temporarily changed my mood & thoughts. I think The longer we stay indoors from our homes the more insanity but staying indoors is the safe zone
I lost my wallet once in a movie theatre. Nobody found it though. I had to go crawl on my knees through the theatre myself and find it.
Then I left my IPhone on the register counter at jimmy johns and someone stole it last year.
Aww oh COD:S Well atleast you found your wallet. Sorry about your phone. Things that I lost most of the time I got it back but I am a victim of a brutal online scam and I lost everything in those late teens but a well learned lesson nothing less. My brutal scam I mentioned it briefly last year and I plan to make a op on it here. I can be very clumsy and I feel everyone should help one another in those situations like your phone or like your wallet. What isn’t mine is useless. Anyways I hope your doing better today. This miracle of mine is EXTREMELY rare that’s why I thought id be important to share that good things will & can come even if those good things don’t cover the bad just something good is enough
I don’t know all I think is I don’t need a phone anyway. Complete waste of money. All I have ever needed/wanted since 15 is a gun to shoot myself in the head. I guess I only like phone to waste time on here though until I kill myself. Phone bills so expensive but my mom pays it. I’d prefer not having a phone and her giving me the money so I can finally get my gun. Bunch of junk I don’t need. The only gadget I have to miserably waste my life on until I can commit suicide. Rather waste my time on phone than stare at wall.
You are ridiculously positive for a suicide blog though. Makes me laugh.
COD:S well to be honest I’m positive because I want to do my best to make clear of my blogs & help anyone member or lurker who stumbles into it & also few months ago I made a detailed suicide note to my family for when I do end it! which includes all my bank & email passwords including SP details about why? In these blogs & comments going years back. because if I do end up ending someone in my family might be reading these posts & comments so I do my best to keep the attitude positive in ways where it’s not just showing anger or hate but truth.
Also I had a gun but it originally belonged to my father I destroyed it not too long ago how many times I pointed that thing to myself geez I don’t have a number. I’ll tell you my method witch I haven’t ever mentioned. Mine is hanging I have mine ready to go I have the tree branch I have the rope already tied to the noose. So all that’s left is to let go & I’m convinced. Trust me everyone acts in a way for a reason. My sharing this with you because I feel bad for both you & I including everyone here . Your story hit shame on those who hurt u.
Hahahaha “you are ridiculously positive for a suicide blog though. Makes me laugh” love it and when you think about it being positive & thinking about ending it just shows you what a relief there is when you discover a solution to permanently end your pain. because imagine if we weren’t able to end it and we had to live eternity in this world could you just imagine that would just be awful so I’m just positive for so many reasons but both mainly for what I just wrote above in the comment because my family will probably end up reading my comments and I just want to reach out to all the members with my full honesty without stretching anything without leaving any details. I guess being single my entire life and being alone and just trying to take care of myself while accepting people for who they are and all Races and ethnic just teaches me to keep that positive attitude no matter what anyways whoever you are I will never forget your story The blogs that you wrote my heart goes out to you
You know I never had the luxury of anyone having a gun near to me so I couldn’t just you know take my fathers. I would though I’d take it and immediately shoot myself. I would love to go out and do it out of town but you know if you don’t you’ll get caught and murdered instead
@OP
I’m happy you found your wallet, but just remember everything can be replaced-so don’t let it ruin your day. Nowadays you can request your drivers license and other ID to be mailed to you. Just don’t carry valuable items that you rarely use-like a citizenship or health card for example.
I’m usually pretty diligent about watching my personal belongings-phone/wallet/keys etc…but like you I have been absent-minded also, it just takes that one time out of 1,000 to screw it up. So yes make a habit of always double/triple checking that you have your stuff.
As for the money, you could’ve always borrowed some from a friend to put gas in the car to get to work. Also I fill my car at half a tank, so the tank is always half-full in case I take a longer trip or something.
You sound like a very nice person, just take it easy-don’t be so hard on yourself. Your world won’t come crashing down for small things like this. π
It’s also good to treat yourself once in a while, I do that too with fast food, I don’t eat it often but occasionally I’ll indulge. But usually when I hang with some friends we go to nice restaurants so that works also.
Forgot to add, try to avoid carrying cash-I always pay everything by debit, but I keep $20 hidden in my wallet in case of emergency, say my car breaks down, need a cab or something else.
So in case I lose my wallet it’s not a big deal-I just cancel my cards and get new ones sent and I’m only out $20. Fortunately that’s never happened to me thus far, knock on wood.
Yeah I know but no one in my family would ever help in this. I do have 1 Coworker but man at that moment I was hungry + damaged from personal reasons betrayal & thoughts of surrendering! All aside from losing a wallet. So this situation was just about what was needed to push me to the edge but that didn’t happen did it? I’m still here somehow
@sadlife958
Sorry to hear that your family won’t help you and also for the problems you were going through.
I know what you mean, when you’re already on the edge it doesn’t take much to push someone over. Years ago I was in a very tight financial situation and had persisted that way over a long time about a year or two till I couldn’t take it any more. (I was looking for work/unemployed and lived with my mom who just worked part-time and her health wasn’t very good).
I was buying groceries but didn’t have enough money left over to buy a jar of peanut butter which I really wanted. I nearly broke down crying in the store, I sneaked into an empty aisle, just to regain my composure because the emotion was overwhelming and I didn’t want to be seen by others.
It takes a lot to break me, I have gone through a lot of hardships in my life and I though how pathetic it was that I didn’t have a few dollars more to buy this item. I’ve come a long way since then (while I’m not well off, I’m financially ok now) but I’ve never forgotten that experience.
Hate to say it but the key is money-when you have more than enough you’ll be fine, I mean aside from problems with family/friends. If your job isn’t paying you well, I’d suggest upgrading to something better.
I’m glad this situation worked out for you, but even if it didn’t try not to let it overwhelm you-I know it’s just another let down but you’re still ok, you have a car, roof over your head, a job…so you’re getting by, even if it’s just barely. Some people are worse off than us…so it’s good to count your blessings (not to minimize any issues in your life).
One other valuable bit of wisdom I learned the hard way is to have savings (though it may be obvious to some people). Do whatever you can to set aside a few thousand dollars ($5k is best), because you never know what will happen in life. You have to move/relocate, first/last month rent, your car needs repairs, you lose your job or get sick, or an emergency.
Most people can’t be relied on-friends/family. Only some decent people will help you out when you’re in a real bind, but that’s rare. Plus there’s a limit to how much they would give you since they are probably not well off either. So it really gives you peace of mind when you set some cash aside. Also you’ll be in a position to bail a loved one out of a bad spot as well.
True but for me to even save $1,000 is almost impossible if you’re living off of minimum wage paycheck by paycheck there’s no way I can ever see $5,000. It has been a really long time since I ever have that kind of money in my account and like you said it’s very very true there are people in this world who are suffering much much much worse than I am even though I am barely making it by a thread. there are people out there who are suffering a lot worse like I said I wasn’t really expecting the wallet to be given back or to be found I thought I was going to lose it and that’s it and I know people out there suffer worst lose worse I mean I have been through a brutal online scam yeah for a car it was a Romanian scam and I got caught into it along with a few other people .
Well this was a nice read I’m glad this happened while yes temporary it was a nice moment π
Yes it was indeed thanks glad you found it to be a positive read! And like I mentioned I had all my Giftcards coupons everything was in that wallet. It’s nice to experience the good in people through your own real hardship
So many fuckin trolls. This site used to actually be an okay community. Fuckin Christ. Fuck off
What’s wrong man. Hope your doing better today bro
I just read this now
& there’s one big smile on my face right now that just wouldn’t wear off π π π
I’m happy for you π
& I’m so very thankful that this happened π
please, as you said,
always always double check before leaving,
preferably keep important things in a specific place, say for example “right trouser pocket”
keep money in reserve
& if I may add,
a second reserve…
i.e., divide money on 3 different places,
1 on ur person [carrying it with you]
& 2 some other place
[say home & car [if it’s a relatively safe neighborhood],
or 2 places at home,
or at home & a trustworthy relative’s home…
& well… there’s always the bank π ]
you know, I even go one step further & divide that third that I carry on 3 different parts…
like one in a small cross-pack that I’v made a habit to always carry with me no matter what even when I’m sitting comfortably in a cafe & I never take it off or leave it anywhere except when I’m home,
the other is my wallet in my trouser pocket
& the third in a plastic bag in one of my socks [I’m weird that way π , but it’s supposed to be a safe place in the event of theft]
I’d also recommend making 1 or 2 spares of everything
car keys
door keys
Credit & Bank Cards
ID cards
Important Documents
etc.
It’s a burden making them
but you’ll sleep better once they’re made
knowing you have 1 or 2 backups for all these important things
& you won’t really realize how much of life saver this strategy is until, God forbids, something happens & you lose any of these
you’ll be so thankful [to yourself [& to God]] that you took that step & made those backups
sorry if this was too much
just wanted to share my advice
seeing how life-threatening that incident was for you
again
so so glad that this happened
