Maybe witch doctors? They have such colorful costumes.
like the underlying problem doesn’t involve you at all, right?! Outrageous, but probably the case.
Adding a few that I keep having suggested, but I doubt will fix anything;
ECT – Electro Convulsive Therapy, electric shocks. Supposedly slows depression and helps to forget, the forget is the only part appealing here
EMDR – Essentially eye movement hypnotism, still early days
Hypnotism – involves trust, not something I’m good at
Electromagnetic therapy – Supposedly inducing a magnetic field near certain parts of the brain can increase bloodflow, therefor improving activity in the problem areas
The worst is when something sort of works. Maybe for a few days, a few weeks even a few months things start to get better. It’s an arms race though. Us versus the sources of our pain. We could, of course, walk away, but we won’t either due to economic or sociological pressures. Limited improvement possible as long as the counter force continues to increase.
Haven’t tried CBT or gardening but everything else. Yeah. Exactly.
