I keep seeing people make references to that Kony 2012 on fb, tumblr etc but I honestly haven’t cared enough to find out what it means. Something about terrorism in some 3rd world country I think?
No its joesph kony he kidnaps children, makes them kill thier parents and forces them to join his rebel army…u should watch it, it really puts things in perspective
Wtf?I wish I could watch It but my computer Is messed up.If you emailed me then I haven’t red It,I’m on a blackberry. But yeah Ill try to see the video but yeah that’s crazy!
Yeah its so awful, the reason why eberybodys talking about it is because we want to make him famous ( not celebrate him but make what has done and is doing known)…i havent emailed u the link but i will:)
hmm you really think they will catch him? how many years did it take them to track down Osama Bin Laden? and that was with a much stronger effort then they are likely to put into finding this guy.
Thats pretty much most people in the US attitude…i always care more about other people, people ive never met and never will meet, than myself…not what they think of me or anything…its one of the many reasons ive always been picked on
I find it hard to try to care about all the people in the world. The numbers are to vast, it becomes silly. Like with 7 billion people in the world, someone somewhere dies every second of every day. Its probably even a higher number then that.
Yeah but doesnt seeing all the kids dying of starvation, the young girls being sold into sex slavery, people killing other people because of skin pigmentation, doesnt it bother u?
Well yea when you think about it of course it bothers you, I mean it could have been any of us right? If fate had been different if we had been born there instead of here. So mostly I just try not to think about it.
If the roles were reversed how much compassion do you think you would be shown. Far less I suggest. This I why when they claim asylum, as soon as they scramble over into a western country they have a complete desregard for those they left behind.
It is always best to view things dispassionately. Most people say they care but you don’t see them running to join oxfam, greenpeace or some other extraneous organisation.
There is a poem from my youth by Carol Ann Duffy which I referred to recently. Suprising that I was able to remember it given the amount of alcohol o have consumed in the intervening period. Im looking for it now. Read it carefully:
In his darkroom he is finally alone
with spools of suffering set out in ordered rows.
The only light is red and softly glows,
as though this were a church and he
a priest preparing to intone a Mass.
Belfast. Beirut. Phnom Penh. All flesh is grass.
He has a job to do. Solutions slop in trays
beneath his hands which did not tremble then
though seem to now. Rural England. Home again
to ordinary pain which simple weather can dispel,
to fields which don’t explode beneath the feet
of running children in a nightmare heat
Some thing is happening. A stranger’s features
faintly start to twist before his eyes,
a half-formed ghost. He remembers the cries
of this man’s wife, how he sought approval
without words to do what someone must
and how the blood stained into foreign dust.
A hundred agonies in black – and – white
from which his editor will pick out five or six
for Sunday’s supplement. The reader’s eyes prick
with tears between the bath and pre-lunch beers.
From the aeroplane he stares impassively at where
he earns a living and they do not care.

Its worth a try, the way i see it there r 2 types of evil, those who do evil things and those who know they r being done but dont try to stop them…
I guess I fall into that second category. I don’t really care much about all the evil in the world as long as it doesn’t affect me personally.

Andthe evil does affect u personally as another human on this earth u r affected, befause the world u live in is affected
